Not everyone feels a pressing need for an explanation, how or when the universe began or how and when life got started. Such people’s lives not thereby meaningless or devoid of spiritual dimensions. The Dalai Lama for example has no such explanations, and no need of them.

Nonsense. There' s war on in Ukraine, causing much misery to the civilian population there and turmoil on world financial markets. Banks just failed in the USA, causing more turmoil on financial markets. A former president is likely to be inidicted on multiple charges stemming from his time in office and his previous financial dealings. No one needs to know how the universe began to know these things.
