@medullah saidIt's clearly an allegory written thousands of years after the supposed event being depicted.
From Eve's perspective it was a talking snake. in reality I think that somebody(thing) was throwing their voice. It's a good decription of the deception.
Edit: I actually think it's an interesting and resonant allegory. Insisting it's literally true seems so unnecessary and counterproductive.
@plantermoo saidNot all "believers", to be sure.
Do you believe God’s Holy Spirit indwells believers?
It's not what's in one's head; it's what's in one's heart.
@suzianne saidI believe God’s Holy Spirit indwells all believers.
Not all "believers", to be sure.

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
(Romans 8:9)
If He doesn’t, they’re not a Christian and not saved.
@plantermoo saidYou haven't "bested" anyone "in an argument".
It appears to be his modus operandi - anytime he’s bested in an argument, he claims the person who bested him is someone else and launches off on a riff about that.
