The one that says there was no "raid"? Here's the title from the Newsweek link you provided:
National Archives Denies Raiding Mar-a-Lago for Trump Documents

Look at the date, you pathetic moron. The FBI didn't execute the search warrant at Margo Largo until August 8, 2022. And on February 9th, 2022 NARA referred the matter to the DOJ, so they obviously weren't satisfied with Trump's "cooperation".
Are you claiming NARA released a statement saying it was not a raid before there was any raid? Explain that.

So on February 8, NARA denied it was a raid before they even reported Trump to the DOJ? Did they travel in a time machine so they knew the future?

"Newsweek reported that the Washington Post claimed that documents from Mar-a-Lago were obtained last month in a raid. "
This was incorrect as I have already shown and NARA's press release refuted the WP report:
"NARA officials did not visit or "raid" the Mar-a-Lago property."
What part of this don't you get? If you want to call the FBI's execution of the search warrant a "raid", that happened six months later.
@no1marauder saidRead the indictment and pay attention to the date of NARA warning Trump they would report him to the DOJ. It started in June. What year was that?

@metal-brain saidThey had no need to "know the future". 14 of the 15 boxes Trump did belatedly turn over in January 2022 contained classified materials and they turned the matter over to DOJ to determine if any laws had been broken.

That statement released from NARA was from a different year. So NARA said Trump was cooperating close to a year AFTER they were warning him, not before.
@metal-brain saidI already quoted that paragraph. 2021.

CNN article dated February 9, 2022:
"
The National Archives has asked the Department of Justice to investigate former President Donald Trump’s handling of White House records, according to a source familiar with the matter.
The source said the Archives is seeking a review of whether Trump violated the Presidential Records Act, which requires that all records created by presidents be turned over to the National Archives at the end of their administrations, and other possible violations, including the handling of classified information."

@no1marauder saidDude, you still don't get it. You seem to have this image of NARA shaking their finger at Trump while threatening to report him to the DOJ as if they were mad at him. They were not mad at him. It was more like a "fair warning" than a stern warning. More like a friendly reminder than talking down at him.
The fact that they turned the matter over to the DOJ a day after that press release tells me a lot more.
There is no evidence NARA was unhappy with Trump before he sent NARA the classified documents which (once again) was Trump outing himself. Nobody outed Trump but himself.
Are you still convinced NARA denied it was a raid in a statement that was released before a raid? That cannot be. Someone must have their dates mixed up somewhere.
@no1marauder saidAre you claiming that NARA turned the matter over to the DOJ a day after they released a statement saying Trump cooperated with them?

@metal-brain saidI'm not "claiming" it; I already showed that is exactly what happened.
Are you claiming that NARA turned the matter over to the DOJ a day after they released a statement saying Trump cooperated with them?
Trump's belated "cooperation" did not mean he wasn't in violation of the law though eventually the DOJ decided to give him a pass for the documents turned over in January 2022.
@no1marauder saidTrump's attorney requested another delay before the records are given to the FBI and said if the extension was not granted, his letter serves as a "protective assertion of executive privilege."
I'm not "claiming" it; I already showed that is exactly what happened.
Trump's belated "cooperation" did not mean he wasn't in violation of the law though eventually the DOJ decided to give him a pass for the documents turned over in January 2022.
Deborah Steidel Wall informed Corcoran in a letter that there is "no basis" for the former president to make a "protective assertion of executive privilege," and she therefore would not honor Trump's "protective" claim of privilege.
So the subpoena was issued over a disagreement about assertion of executive privilege and delays, not an outright refusal. This is a mountain being made over a mole hill and the constant misinformation does not help. All of this was started by people with Trump Derangement Syndrome.
@no1marauder saidJoe Biden took classified document material as a United States senator. United States senators are not allowed to take classified documents. They were all over the place. That is a violation of the Espionage Act according to Rep. Byron Donalds. Is he wrong because it was not willful?
The statute requires "willfulness". That means an act which is "intentional, conscious and directed toward achieving a purpose." https://dictionary.law.com/Default.aspx?selected=2250
In the case of 18 USC 793(e), that would mean one have to have known they had national defense information and intend to retain it. There's no evidence supporting such a conclusion in Bide ...[text shortened]... ts were quickly handed over to the relevant authorities soon after their discovery. Same with Pence.
If Trump did so willfully what was his purpose? To boast to his friends he has them? Was Trump violating the Espionage Act? Is that dependent on "willfulness"?
