It could happen. That is why it is very important for Ukraine to become a neutral buffer between the nuclear powers. Democrats are so emotional from anti-Russian propaganda they don't realize they are substantially increasing the risk of nuclear war by opposing peace between Ukraine and Russia.

Is the continual expansion of NATO worth a nuclear war?

@Metal-Brain
Is that what Putin is instructing you to say, they only want PEACE in Ukraine?
A BIG piece of Ukraine is what he really wants and then start in on the Baltics.
And of course since you are the spokesman for Putin, you would totally agree.

You clearly do not want peace in Ukraine. You are using every excuse to avoid an agreement to achieve peace. Who do you think you are fooling?

You are in full support of a long and bloody proxy war. You would probably take the weapons there yourself to help Ukrainians kill Russians if you had to.

Nuclear weapons are not built and sold to ever use.

The industrial war complex wants to make money. It’s pointless if money suddenly becomes pointless (which a nuclear war would do).

So it ain’t happening.

a) the NATO members of Latvia and Estonia already border Russia

b) No one is opposing peace talks.

c) Invasions from Russia will happen regardless of NATO. Putin's stated reason for invading Ukraine had nothing to do with NATO, it was allegedly to protect ethnic Russians in that region.

Putin had said, many times, that NATO expansion is a serious issue and why they need a buffer-zone.

Yes. But my point is that Putin doesn't need NATO as a reason to invade (again, Crimea). Putin apparently invades as he sees fit.

It is debatable as to what extent nuclear war will have on people's ability to live and trade. Some people in government have claimed that the mutually assured destruction claims are greatly exaggerated. The destruction will be where the nukes are targeted and most land will escape the physical destruction. It is the radiation that is nasty and blows in the wind. Living in basements would allow many to evade most of the radiation, but that would be temporary and trade would resume.

Money would not become pointless unless you die.

The USA and NATO invades as they see fit. They all use excuses for public rationalization though. They are killing their own people even though that is what happens in all civil wars. NATO used that excuse for Serbia and Libya invasions. So picking sides in a civil war is a common excuse. WMDs with Iraq. False flag invasions happen. I think the USS Maine was one to take the Philippines and Cuba from Spain.

The USA didn't need a reason to attempt an invasion of Cuba called the Bay of Pigs invasion. See? The USA wants their lost colony back too. They all do it, not just Putin. The UK took back the Falkland Islands. Everybody does it.

Living in your basement will not protect you from radiation. 🙄

The number of nukes between the USA and Russia/China would cause nuclear winter. (No crops...no food)

Humans would survive in places but life would not be worth living.

Nato needs to slow down before they go too far.

No country is worth a nuclear war.

I take it neutral means a puppet government of the Muscovite empire and as a Russian you can explain why you think you have the right to veto other sovereign nations from joining the EU. How does Ukrainian EU membership represent an existential security threat to Russia?
