c) Invasions from Russia will happen regardless of NATO. Putin's stated reason for invading Ukraine had nothing to do with NATO, it was allegedly to protect ethnic Russians in that region.

The destruction will be where the nukes are targeted and most land will escape the physical destruction. It is the radiation that is nasty and blows in the wind. Living in basements would allow many to evade most of the radiation, but that would be temporary and trade would resume.
Nuclear weapons are not built and sold to ever use.
The industrial war complex wants to make money. It’s pointless if money suddenly becomes pointless (which a nuclear war would do).
So it ain’t happening.

@vivify saidThe USA and NATO invades as they see fit. They all use excuses for public rationalization though. They are killing their own people even though that is what happens in all civil wars. NATO used that excuse for Serbia and Libya invasions. So picking sides in a civil war is a common excuse. WMDs with Iraq. False flag invasions happen. The USA didn't need a reason to attempt an invasion of Cuba called the Bay of Pigs invasion. See? The USA wants their lost colony back too. They all do it, not just Putin. The UK took back the Falkland Islands. Everybody does it.
