Do you remember asking me if I thought there will be Catholics in heaven? Yes or no?
Yes. I remember. And yes, I remember your answer. But that discussion wasn't specifically about eternal torture, while this one is. So, now, if there are ~ say ~ Catholics who find themselves not "saved" and not in "heaven", do you believe they will be destroyed or do you believe they will be tortured for eternity as a punishment? I take it your answer is "I don't know". Is this a fair characterization of your theological stance on this issue?

Yes, I do classify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians because they are followers of Christ and, not being a Christian anymore, I am not overly concerned with the ideological and theological differences that they have with Catholic and Protestant and Mormon followers of Christ.

I'm interested in your criteria for "scriptural relevance".

Are you directing these little jabs at anyone in particular?

If an individual believes in any person or place or thing, why in the world would he or she become threatened by the contrarian beliefs of others? Inadequate substantiation of those beliefs? Lack of conviction? Emotional insecurity? Other gnawing personal issues?
