@civilworship saidI thought your God coexists in three persons.
Oh, by the way, the Christian God, as you call Him - name is JESUS!!!
@civilworship saidDo you think slave owners in the U.S. in the C17th and C18th, for example, were inspired and influenced by "Satan"?
this Christian God, as you call Him, would never approve of the abuse/killings of a people forced into slavery nor would He answer the prayers of malicious (slave owners) who were inspired and influenced by satan.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidIf, or better yet since you cannot comprehend the scriptures teachings relative to the nature and being of God, how can you expect to understand what it means?
I thought your God coexists in three persons.
If Jesus alone is God, why did he say, 'I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I'?
@secondson saidThat sounds like something someone might say with a finite mind.
If, or better yet since you cannot comprehend the scriptures teachings relative to the nature and being of God, how can you expect to understand what it means?
And even if you did understand what it means, can/would you believe it?
I didn't think so.
But I'll take a crack at it just the same.
God is one God. God is Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
It's a matter of ...[text shortened]... le to the finite mind. Therefore its use as a critique to undermine clear, concise and simple truth.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidShallow church minds promote that doctrine when the bible preaches another. The concept of oneness extends to Christ and the disciples, Christ and the church, and even between husband and wife. Oneness is not equality, neither one and the same. Jesus repeatedly said that God His father is greater, and separate from Him. They are two distinct and separate beings. Just like the disciples are distinct and separate from Him. Paul knowing that this concept ws causing false doctrines to creep into the church made this crystal clear statement:
That sounds like something someone might say with a finite mind.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidAnd something someone might understand with a finite mind. 🤔

@secondson saidFinality is a troublesome affliction.
And something someone might understand with a finite mind. 🤔
@ghost-of-a-duke saidFor which Jesus is the cure.
Finality is a troublesome affliction.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidWhat is the Hindu cure for the finality of death? Enlightenment?
A Hindu would say the same about enlightenment.
