Now let's talk about Trump telegraphing that he'll choose a woman for the SC. Funny how Republicans everywhere, including in this very forum, when Biden said that he will pick a woman for his running mate, we heard a chorus of "So qualifications don't matter?" And these same hypocritical people are actually cheering that Trump says he'll pick a woman.

But my take away on this is that the GOP is pushing the nomination through with a level of desperation because .......

No, Moscow Mitch and the Republicans eliminated the filibuster as regards judicial appointments.

EDIT: In technical terms, they made a vote for cloture i.e. to end debate require only a majority in judicial confirmation cases rather than the 3/5 required in most other cases.

Awesome. It's almost as if someone thought of the most easily abusable system and set it up thinking nobody would be that shameless to actually abuse it.


Oh well. I am trying to stop worrying about stuff that won't affect me (probably). You fix your mess.
