@fmfsaid But can some overlap not be found in Christian values regarding tolerance, compassion, and forgiveness?
One would hope so.
However I don’t see this happening in the USA anytime soon, and certainly not in a way which would impact the widening cultural gap in the identity politics you mention.
If you were on holiday here in my town and I realized that you were in the same bar as me, I wouldn't bother to walk across the room to greet you. So I don't know in what scenario you imagine debating me face to face.

@mike69said I already knew that, have fun in your playground.
As a self-identifying Christian, you exhibit no grown-up interest in the values or behaviours you call "woke" nor, seemingly, do you exhibit much interest in Christian values, so why are you posting on this thread?
@fmfsaid For most Christians ~ and certainly according to the Bible, as far as I am aware ~ homosexual acts are "sinful". But, without approving of gay sexual orientation, can't Christians - in the spirit of "love your neighbour" - be against systematic discrimination against homosexuals? That would be an overlap, would it not?
I think this is the correct approach and in keeping with the teachings of Christ. A professed Christian should, if he is asked
- identify the act of homosexuality as sin without fearing anyone
- point out that Jesus said sin is to be avoided [eg the adulterous woman was not stoned but told go and sin no more]
- continue to show brotherly love to professed gays, with showing any kind of discrimination.

So you accept that your religious views might be "confusing things" and rendering you unable to discern the truth?

I am sorry you're feeling whatever it is that made you post stuff like this.
