@caissad4 saidI didn't justify the murdering of anyone "for the sake of" anyone else.
Sorry , it has never been about you . Even if I see a streak of fascism when you justified murdering millions of nonbelievers for the sake of billions .
You still haven't said for whose benefit you seek to belittle the beliefs of KellyJay. Not for him. Not for me. OK. So, is it for your benefit?
@fmf saidYes you did say it .
Christianity and Islam are also codes for living that have made it possible for billions and billions of people, for centuries, to live ordered lives in cohesive societies, and feel there's purpose and meaning in life, on a scale that arguably dwarfs the millions who died because of religious strife.
@caissad4 saidWhere did life come from, how did it get here, for that matter how did here, get here? Nothing about geology or archaeology disproves these things, get specific, I could just name a scientific discipline and say see you are wrong, without details you are just blowing smoke, again.
Two people populating a planet is not a viable gene pool to produce what we have today . Noah and the great flood is refuted by geology and archaeology and the simple fact that there were many other civilizations thriving at the time (and after ) it was claimed to have happened who never mentioned any " great flood ". The Exodus is refuted by Israeli archaeologists being sen ...[text shortened]... fact is that someone couldn't live in the belly of a whale for 3 days .
What facts have you got ??
@kellyjay saidBecause knowledge is lacking in an area does not mean some god did it .
Where did life come from, how did it get here, for that matter how did here, get here? Nothing about geology or archaeology disproves these things, get specific, I could just name a scientific discipline and say see you are wrong, without details you are just blowing smoke, again.
@kellyjay saidNone of us know. Science hasn't got there yet and theology is just speculation and aspiration and anthropocentric. If there is a creator entity, then the more science discovers, the more we know about its nature [if it exists]. Theology is about anthropology and psychology rather than the nature of the universe.
Where did life come from, how did it get here, for that matter how did here, get here?
@fmf saidYou have already acknowledged Kelly would probably view some of your own posts to him as belittling. What was 'your' motivation? What did 'you' hope to benefit?
You are belittling KellyJay's beliefs for MY benefit, then?
I believe all religions rely heavily on myths and fairytales. Sharing this belief in this forum is no more belittling than comments Kelly has made about evolution and the like or sonship claiming atheists are lying about not believing in God.
