Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene believes that with his criminal indictment, Donald Trump has entered the upper echelons of martyrdom.
In an interview on the conservative Right Side Broadcasting Network, Greene likened Trump to other famous people who have been arrested, such as Nelson Mandela and Jesus.
Mandela was arrested for his opposition to racial segregation in South Africa. Jesus was arrested for performing miracles and founding a new religion. Trump was indicted for allegedly paying to cover up an extramarital affair.
The charges against him reportedly include a felony charge of falsifying business records and violating campaign finance law.
The protest also hosted other Republicans especially unfit for office, like Representatives George Santos
Jesus would mock Christians today. More importantly, Christians today would mock Jesus.
But this isn't new. Christianity has been light years from the teachings of Jesus for hundreds of years, from mass torture and hate, to slavery to their current love of money, hatred of the poor and unabashed racism.

Replace Christian with human and it is more accurate, those things are human issues and they appear in all walks of life. Wearing a Christain label doesn't change anything only Christ can do that, not labels.

But it's a problem when Christianity infects politics and government. If Christianity isn't lead by the morals they claim to espouse then they are a burden to humanity when Christians in government create policies affecting the rest of us.
This includes racist policies that favor the rich and show contempt for the poor; policies that help create the poor people they hate.

The problem is with the people who have abandoned God and turned towards their own vices. They have become lazy, slothful, gluttonous and fat. They have become fornicators and adulterers. They have impregnated women by the dozens and abandoned their children. They have turned to a life of crime instead of decent work. Instead of blaming themselves they now blame slavery, they blame whites, they blame the whole world for their poverty.

The Lake Arrowhead shooter has been identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department as 27-year-old Travis Ikeguchi.
Ikeguchi fatally shot Laura Ann Carleton, a loving wife and mother of nine, for having a Pride flag in support of LGBTQ+ rights at her clothing store Mag.Pi in Cedar Glen, California (two hours east of Los Angeles). He spouted anti-LGBTQ+ slurs and hate speech during the incident— as he regularly did on social media.
He was extremely active in the online right-wing ecosystem of hate in the United States, regularly posting about his far-right extremist beliefs on Gab and Twitter/X. He supported Donald Trump in 2016 but became far more devoted to a Christian nationalist worldview driven by antisemitic conspiracy theory culture.
This hate is not isolated. Right-wingers harassed and attacked employees of Target just because the store had pro-LBGT items like shirts. It's not just the U.S.:

Jesus did not found a new religion. When he declared “I am come not to break the law but to fulfill it“ the law he meant was the Torah.
