@fmf saidOur choices and the life we lived here matters, when we are on the other side what is done is done and there is no room for grace and forgiveness. The narrow way and the door to life is here, there your name is either in the book of life or not.
Why would someone who "first meets Jesus in the afterlife on the day of judgment"... why would Jesus torture them in burning flames for eternity?

@kellyjay saidCan you, hand on your heart, before God, say that you honestly believe you have addressed the question FMF asked you?

@divegeester saidYes, choices about entering into a relationship with God are made here, not after we die.

@kellyjay saidIf you are not interested in my question, just say so.

@kellyjay saidSo I ask again, what do you think is 'good' about a three year old kid being given a brain tumour, and what 'choice' did the child have in the matter?
God is always good there are no exceptions to that. We where given the ability to walk as He directed us, and we choose not to and we are dealing with the results.
@indonesia-phil saidNothing good about a child getting a tumor and the child didn’t ask either. In this world there are many evil things happening to us and by us.

By this, do you mean that the baby with a tumour thing [what Indonesia Phil has been talking about] is caused by people choosing not "to walk with" your God figure, and yet "the baby with a tumour thing" has nothing to do with Him?
@fmf saidCorrect God is always good, the things that happen here are not always because

there is evil here much of it we do to ourselves.
@kellyjay saidThe tumour was genetic, inevitable since the point of conception. You have stated very clearly that you believe that your god controls all things genetic. So, since you agree that the child's tumour is not good, either your god is not good, or you are mistaken in your belief that your god controls all things genetic.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidReally, if it were not for the love of God, there would be no hope! The goodness and righteousness of God would demand accountability and justice for everyone’s sin. Adam and Eve would have ended our race immediately. For every infraction of the law that would have been it. The blessings of God that we all currently share could have been withheld like the air we breathe or the fact He holds the universe together by the power of His Word means every cell in your body He maintains. The only reason we are here is due to His love and grace,
The god you have presented here is not perfectly loving.

@indonesia-phil saidWe live with the consequences of our choices each generation prior sets up the next. Many believe we are evolving upward, it could be heading downward, not to improved versions, but less stable ones. As is more likely with decay of processes over time.
