Its a much better move. I do not know why I did not consider it. I think that black still wins. However all the varations make my head hurt. I am not that smart too. Its not just because fritz is rating at least 2800 odd, but the line he has chosen to play is not only ideal for engines its ideal for white. However since it is correspondence chess and not OTB, I believe the game will go on for quite a few moves. All fritz has to do is make it to the tablebase with a pawn advantage and its probably won. Iv seen deep fritz declare a forced mate in 107 moves before, no matter how good any human player is you just cant keep up with that.
For those of you intrested fritz8 is running at an average of 2800-3500 kn, modified opening book to favor sacs and gambits, im not running it for a long time per a move, at most 5 mins so far It believes it is winning already :-)
