America has to get a king and queen. we're missing out on some fun.

And question for the English here, Do America's Royals get scoffed at unless they have hemophilia?

I reckon you can have Harry and Meghan. The Brits don't want them anymore.

Those two seem to have lost a lot of public support.

TTQ

i was saluted this morning with this and when i queried the meaning i was informed it was "To The Queen"
as in raising a glass to the monarch, the sovereign

i have such respect for this loyalty

I've never heard TTQ!
We say cheers, bottoms up or enjoy.

It would definitely help, and being able to trace the genetic lineage back to Queen Victoria is essential, otherwise they wouldn't count.

Me neither.

How about 'Toodle Pip'

Goodbye (informal)

Yes, it's 2.15am Indotime, we're flying at a ridiculous hour and I'm having 'suppose the alarm doesn't go off' anxiety. Hence....

After which one would be 'pushing up the daisies', being as 'dead as a doornail.'

'It just isn't cricket.' If something is underhand/unfair/generally unwholesome.

And of course we haven't got into cockney rhyming slang yet.

Here's a couple off the top;

'Skin and blister' (sister)
'Plates of meat' (feet)
'Trouble and strife' (wife)
'Dog and bone' ('phone)

Oh, I dunno, I rather get the impression that the usual attitude is more "good on them for getting away from the English press" than "good we're rid of them".
