The problem with combining clans is that if these people are in clans that don’t play much there’s already no rule against being in two clans if they wanted more. If their game load increased by much or at all from combining I would imagine they would leave the clan system all together as their already playing the number of games they want to.

You claim people may quit if they get to many games? That just doesn't add up, if they are going to want to be on different clans then would they not be looking for MORE GAMES??? 😕 Also all a player has to do is let his/her Clan Leader know how many games they want to play. Problem Solved!!!

We already know that if you are in one clan you can't play against another clan, unless the only exception would be if you are already leaving a Clan you may have already been matched up and Challenge excepted happened to me a few times when I left Metallica to go with Breaking Bad, back in June21/21. In my case it didn't matter as I will play unlimited Clan Challenge Games!

The clans that want to combine will talk to the players and see what they want out of the clan they are going to. If they don't match the leaders goals then they can move to another clan. A clan that has some room but is fine with you playing limited games. Almost every clan I play has some players that are limited in the amount of games they play. Some people don't like to play a lot.

The leaders who will be aggressive going for the championship will want their players to play a lot of games. So the player who does not want that would pick another clan instead of joining the combining clans.

There are always spots for players. Never worry about that my friend.

Even if I had OCD with my clan, hard work is still hard work. Either way. And it's healthy to be OCD with chess. It's not like I am putting my free time to bad use.

I'm doing all I can for my players which is my job as their leader.

And we get kittens and a Puppy. You can't beat it. 🙂

The point I’m making is that I don’t think there will be enough people wanting to combine to make any meaningful difference. If the players wanted to play more clan games they would have joined another additional clan already. People have moved past the clan system and choosing their games from open invites, tournaments, and friends with an occasional clan game popping up. Having a clan under your profile is more like an old trophy on a shelf from days past for many. I do wish this would change but I think it would be up to Russ doing some new creative advertising in some manner with new ideas to make it fun again along with investing in it and I’m not sure the funds are there to do this.

Have you talked to all of the Clan Leader in the smaller clans to see what they thought about combining clans?

Have you talked to any of them about checking out Greeters Section to see if players could be found there, or are they simply not interested in making a competitive Clan?

So the answer is NO, you never actually asked the Clan Leaders with small clans about amalgamation.

I bunch of small clans who can't compete, isn't going to help a thing. We are quite aware there was at one time over 100 Active Clans and many of them very competitive.

I see you keep avoiding to answer if you have asked the smaller Clan Leaders about amalgamation. I take that as being a No, I haven't I just know they wouldn't like it. Few of them if any even come in to this forum. I bet the majority of them don't know, it has even been suggested.

Do you think you are the Only One who has been around I am on two other chess sites and co-captain on one of them. I have ran Clubs, and Teams myself. I kind of got it figured out how it works, and odds are I've been doing it longer than you have.

I am really stupid that is why I have been a co-captain on another site for many years. I have been a T.D. at tournaments we held back in the early 90's and you have the nerve to call me stupid. Are you just not bright enough to see how Breaking Bad has done since I joined Lets not even count June21/21 as I walked into a good spot. I've helped Michael who has done an excellent job and he has mentioned me many times as being a big help, other Clan Leaders have noticed it, but you haven't. We have finished either 1rst or 2nd finishing 1rst twice in 3 years, now remember were not counting June21/21 as I walked into a winning position.
Now Tell me how many tournaments out the real world you've run! Tell me how many Championships on this site you've won and if it happens to be more than myself then Kudo's to you, if not then I'd be quiet while I am behind if I were you!!!

You aren't much of leader when you have to call names to try and put down someone. Do you think that is going to help you with your buddies? Try standing on your own two feet and doing something! One person can make a difference, you could make a difference!!!
