This time, I can write about the theme because the
GKs of Brasil never was of 1st line (sorry, Gilmar dos
Santos Neves).

Of course, there're many great GK: Sepp Mayer, Ubaldo
Fillol, Oliver Kahn, Jean-Marie Pfaff, Dino Zoff etc.

But the best was, is and always will be LEV YASHIN.

Pat jennings was QUALITY! i remember watching him at the Lane in the 70s (before he went to ARSenal in '77:'() What a keeper.

At present i like Oliver Kahn and also Casillas of Real...he makes such a diffirence to them.

I remember Gullit saying once after a match where the keeper made a big mistake: "keepers are keepers because they can't play football".

The 5 seconds silence in the studio of BBC's "Match of the day" is still carved in my memory.

as someone who plays in goal..... i regent that statement🙄

'keeping' is a very specialist position and it is one of the hardest position to play in football as you have to keep your concentration for the whole 90 mins.

Outfield players make a mistake.. and there is always someone to cover for them. A 'keepers makes a mistake and its a goal!

Probably the depth of his idea was kinda lost in translation.

The keeper was trying to kick out the ball with his foot and obviously missed the ball. I guess he was refering to that kind of skills.

Best I have seen without doubt is Peter Schmeichel.

Although I believe that it is widely accepted that Gordan Banks was/is the best.

Walter Zenga without question.

"Since 1990 Zenga holds the record for most minutes without conceding a goal in the FIFA World Cup; he was not beaten for 518 minutes in total."
