Do you read everything I write, or do you just skip entire sentences?

The founding fathers of America were willing to die fighting for the independence of a country. They had no idea what their descendants would do with such a country, yet they were willing to lay down their lives for it. Why? Because they believed in it.

You reckon an atheist being unwilling to [possibly] lay his life down by telling a theist that he is an atheist, means he has "zero commitment" to his beliefs?
Who are the ones constantly asking theists to put up or shut up?
Don't you think atheists should follow their own advice?
Originally posted by SuzianneIt was a question. Point blank. You don't want to answer it? here it is again [sorry everybody else]: you reckon an atheist being unwilling to [possibly] lay his life down by telling a theist that he is an atheist, means he has "zero commitment" to his beliefs?
You don't want to know what I "reckon".

You reckon RHP atheists advise you to lay your life down? When was this? I missed it. Which thread?
By not being willing to lay down their lives for what they believe, do you think the atheists should just "shut up" if they're not willing to "put up"?
If not, then you don't think they believe any of what they say here, is that right? No? Then they should just be able to say whatever the heck they want and not be held to it? Pretty hypocritical, isn't it?
Originally posted by SuzianneHow is it hypocritical? Unless atheists have told you that you should be willing to die for your beliefs, then how is it hypocritical? When did an RHP atheist ask you to lay down your life for your theism?

You keep quoting single lines of my replies and draw the wrong conclusion. Either you think this is funny to piss me off, or your thinking is very flawed.
Originally posted by SuzianneDodge it if you want. By all means. Once more [sorry to everyone else]: how have atheists here been hypocritical in terms of laying one's life down for their beliefs. You have made the claim. Not me. On what thread did RHP atheists tell you you should lay down your life for your theism?
Either you are dense, or you think I am.

Originally posted by SuzianneWhat I reckon here, obviously, is that atheists should "put up" or "shut up". Just like they demand of theists.

It is hypocritical of atheists to just say whatever the heck they want and not be called on it, while they are always jumping on the theists to prove everything they say. Yes, it's hypocritical.
Come on, FMF, you're not this dense. So I can only assume that you think I am.
Originally posted by SuzianneAnd they do exactly that. It is theists that dodge questions left right and centre as you are doing now.

"put up" or "shut up" is in no way equivalent to "be willing to risk your life for you beliefs" or even "be willing to risk any loss whatsoever" for your beliefs. All "put up" or "shut up" means is that if you have a big mouth then be ready to defend what comes out of it, or keep it shut.
