If a post or thread gets to 10 thumbs down there is something wrong with that poster and it is probably best to have that post or thread removed.

Get rid of the thumbs all together, and while we're at it, the silly faces as well.
Such gimmicks should be restricted to facelift and twatter and other such social media platforms.
This is a serious chess site and should be treated as such

It all depends on what you want from the site.
If you go to the bottom of any page there's other things you can do here.
For example,the puzzles will make you a better player
