Torunn, you are right and made a very interesting suggestion.

Telepathy is a very difficult thing, though. Would I be able to hear people think (that would probably overwhelm me) or would I generally empathize?
While being at school at times I would have liked to have that gift to get what the teacher was on about 😉

I am not so sure about the benefits of telepathy.

The 'power' would, to my way of thinking, undermine what it is to be human. It would wreck what it means to experience something of an interpersonal nature.

Have the 'power' occasionally to navigate one's way out of danger? Perhaps. But as an additional sense? I'd take a pass.

The way I think, telepathy only works when two minds are open to each other - thoughts or feelings reach and connect for some reason. I believe twins sometimes have that kind of connection.

Inspired by Thread 193350, I saw that we were advised to grow new organs. As yet it is impossible "just to grow" some.

Additional eyes in the back of the head would be a nice addition.

Wings, perhaps?
