You're the one who searches my post history. I'm not as interested in you as you must hope I would be.

Let's also consider the topic of the thread. Got no music in your head and maybe never did? Then start a new thread if you want to trash me instead of polluting this thread with your personal and juvenile aspersions. No tea for you.

So inconsiderate.
I don't search your post history. You have an amazing overblown sense of your own importance. I know from the scads of notifications I get every time you answer a post of mine. Remember, this is you forcing yourself on me, not the other way 'round.

And, in case you don't realize how nasty and ugly (and wrong) you are, when I got my bachelors, it was with a minor in music, which I've gone back and fleshed out into another major (yes, a performance major in Piano). I post what pleases me... unlike you, I don't think anyone is interested in anything I do. Music is a rather large part of my life, I perform for friends and a few others, I don't resort to these forums for my performances, like you.

So climb right down off my ass, for a change.

I think I'm listening to the sound of one door closing.

There are some people here whom I'm glad to have "met" -- and some adversarial and false characters as well, with whom my encounters have not been so pleasant.

My subscription will expire on the 21st of February, and I will leave it to the rest of you to "enjoy" the company of such people as Suzianne and Rajk999.

Well, "good night and good luck."
And the Oscar goes to.......

I like the way it builds. 🙂
Most of the classical composers had their genius moments, some had many and some had a career full of them. This piece was a highlight of Liszt's career.

Other pieces by him (more famous) include Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, and what many consider his masterpiece, Piano Sonata in B minor.

Not only was he a great composer, he was a master of piano as well.

@Arkturos

I know all that stuff though not so keen on Manilow other than Coco Cabana

I'll pass old chap. Only really have ears for classical music these days.

Best song ever written/played

I know Liebastrum - one of the first things that learned to play (not very well though)

My favourite classical/Opera would be a choice between "Lakme" and "“E lucevan le stelle” from Tosca.

I that his best ever peice was "Hector The Brave" which he wrote specifically for the Bagpipes.

As I remember it was a personal thing and a request which impacted previous posts.
Yes, that’s all it was.

Manilow got me interested in songwriting as a teen, and his "Could It Be Magic" with its Chopin-influenced opening got me interested in learning chords. A year or two later, the opening chords to The Alan Parsons Project's "Wouldn't Want To Be Like You" added to that interest.

However, nothing much came of either of those interests (typical of me).

>>I don't search your post history.
That's an interesting assertion you have made.

>>You have an amazing overblown sense of your own importance.
Been inside my head, have you?

>>I know from the scads of notifications I get every time you answer a post of mine.
You should bring that up with Russ. You should only get one notification per post.

>>Remember, this is you forcing yourself on me, not the other way 'round.
You make me sound like a rapist, just for replying to some of your posts.

>>And, in case you don't realize how nasty and ugly (and wrong) you are, when I got my bachelors, it was with a minor in music, which I've gone back and fleshed out into another major (yes, a performance major in Piano).
"Nasty"?
"Ugly"?
I didn't know that about you. Thank you for sharing. That's respectable.

>>I post what pleases me
But I'm not allowed to do the same?

>>unlike you, I don't think anyone is interested in anything I do
Which must be why you and some others who keep saying "nobody cares" keep replying the way you and they do.

>>So climb right down off my ass, for a change.
No need for such vulgarity.
