-Removed-I should have said that Richard Belzer claimed it was the Mafia, because he's dead now. Interestingly, he wrote a book called Hit List, about 51 possible witnesses (not necessarily eye witnesses, but people who could have been called to testify in a trial) who have died mysterious deaths since the JFK assassination.
Silencing witnesses has always been the Mafia's forte.

-Removed-I used to think Cooper was a nut and he probably is, but UFOs have been popular lately so maybe he was just ahead of his time in certain ways. He was killed by police after the police dressed up like teenage hoodlums so he would let his guard down. The police said that was the only way to arrest him for tax evasion charges.
Cooper reportedly told police this would not be another Waco or Ruby Ridge, but that is exactly what happened. They just had to get that tax evader. Who knew tax evaders were so dangerous to society. The Police killed him. They claim Cooper shot first.
