Let's say at $30, there are 100 subscribers. That's $3000 annually.

We can assume that all 100 subscribers would remain if the price was dropped to $20, so we are
guaranteed $2000 at a minimum for the change. So, we need to make up a difference of $1000
dollars, or have an additional 50 subscribers.

So, you are suggesting that your business model would entail increasing subscribers by at least
50% when you lower the price by $10, which is an absurd proposal.

---

For comparison, when the price was $20, let's say Russ had 100 subscribers, and was making $2000
a year. When he increased the price to $30, in order for that model to make any sense, he had to
retain at least 67 members in order for that model to make sense (making $2010). He gambled
(wisely, I suspect), that fewer than 33% of current subscribers would find the burden of $10 more
sufficient to cancel their accounts. It was a risk, but I think he was wise in taking that risk. Further,
he was guessing that for people browsing the site for the first time, 2 out of 3 people who would have
been inclined to purchase at $20 would still purchase at $30 (also, I think a reasonable conjecture).

---

For Russ to raise the price to $40 (from $30), he would have to retain 75% of the currently
subscribing clientele (and assume that 3 of 4 people who would have subscribed at $30 would also
subscribe at $40). This model is probably more shaky, as you can see.

Whatever rationale you were applying, it makes no sense in the world of business.

The price should definitely be raised - especially as you lot find it so cheapo.
