Sweet! Maybe Ponderable can give us the final count on the number who qualified for Round 2.

I'm itching to go!

Indeed quite late another posting. The game I linked was of course not the final game as such, but the final decisive game...there are still games on, which of course have no influence on the result.

We have 90 groups with a single winner and 14 groups with two joint winners bringing the garnd total to 118 players in the second round. (1 group with 10 and 12 with 9 as most people pürobably have seen already 🙂 )

Good games to everybody!

There is always the question about hard and weak groups. I made a list comparing four criteria: highest rated player, number of 2000+-players, medium player and weakest player. Sincew e can't display tables well (or I didn't find the way) a few results:

sorted by strongest player: 13:2342; 7:2324; 6:2321...least 8: 2052; 2: 1988; 12: 1980
number of 2000+: 3 and 10: 5, 1 and 7: 4...2 and 8: 1;12: 0
strength of medium player: 3: 2038, 10: 2006, 1: 1964 ... 8:1777; 5: 1751; 2:1698
strength of weakest player: 6: 1810; 1: 1783; 10: 1656 ... 7: 1391; 3: 1390; 2: 1366

So group 2 seems to be a very weak one (in the wekest counting all criteria) and 10 is the killer group (in the top three in three of four criteria) groups 4,9 and 11 show not once either in the strongest or weakest criteria.

I think I just got the easiest group in the history of the 2nd round. Awesome, time to lose.

We have the first drop out in round 2 (group 13), while not all players have started and in a few groups the first games have been decided.

I know the groups are randomly made, but there is strength variation. Compare group 1 to groups 2 and 5, for example.

Group 10 is not just the hardest group by far; it also contains an obvious juksende drittsekk. So do Groups 3 & 6. There may be others of course 🙄

I wasn't aware that he was married. The Tebb knows that now, I'm sure.
