30 Games versus this level of opposition is pretty rough.

It's far too many. And if a player is already carrying even a modest gameload, it's far far far too many

Bebop5 has not made a move either as white or black in the 3rd round of the Championship.

Yeah, I don't like playing that many games at once. Still trying to decide whether to continue. I feel it is way too many games for a championship round. It certainly affects quality of play as I don't know too many people that can devote that much time to such an undertaking.

Understandable. But since conditions are the same for all players, it would be a pity that a player with your record would not carry on.

Well, I've mostly played much lower rated players which accounts for the record. When you start on RHP as a 1200 (even if you are near 2200 OTB strength) no one highly rated will play you. You end up with a string of games against 1200-1600 competition as you work your way up.. Not too hard to win most if not all of them. But if I'm playing someone equal or better I'd like to have more than a few minutes per game on average to analyze.

Your current Opponent Avr.Rating of 1761 seems to contradict your statement about the strength of your opponents. Your other statement is quite valid however so perhaps you might want to put it in the Site Ideas forum for future championships consideration.

It looks like time constraints forced Admin to make the final group so big. A different formula might need to be worked out. A minimum rating allowable to enter might reduce the number of entries, and so also reduce the size of all round groups.A "truer" championship would happen, one might say.

That's a good idea to limit the entries to those who have a rasonable chance of winning. perhaps Class A (1800) and above. Then there could be a "reserve" section for under 1800 rated players. That would go a long way to having reasonable size groups.

As far as my opponent's average rating being 1761, I believe that with a difference of +460 points I should reasonably be expected to score 90-95% winning percentage. I believe I fall a tad below that. Correct me if I am wrong as statistics and probability are not really of great interest to me.

Also, that 1761 average applies to only the last 90 days, my overall opponent's average is 1600. I think it is not unreasonable to expect a +2200 player to have a good record against that.
