Description: Water bottle runs past sign that says "Have you heard the good news?".

So...what's the point? No, I don't get it. Is the cartoon supposed to mean something to someone?

Right, like the universe NEEDS more humans to come back after screwing up their lives and others. Sure, it could happen.

The key part that you evidently missed is that the sign has a large universal recycling symbol in the middle of it.

Hopefully I don't need to explain further.

My initial thought was reincarnation, but I suppose it could work with resurrection with less direct applicability.

Reincarnation according to Hinduism does not neccesarily have to be back to this planet. Also it is understood that the ideal well lived life would culminate in no further incarnations but the ending of that cycle.
Jesus did not talk about reincarnation and neither did the Buddha.

Maybe this explains sonship’s claim about beings on other worlds etc...

Hey, I thought it was funny, and I didn't even have to have you explain it to me.

And you just can't let it go, can you?

Like a dog with a favorite bone, I guess.

Hinduism holds Buddha to be the 9th avatar of Vishnu.
And Buddha was a Hindu.

Why do sonship’s self-published beliefs need to be “left alone”?

Buddha was born in Hindu India and thus spoke in Hindu terms.

He didn't deny reincarnation , he only focused on our present life.

Yes, that's what we need, more cartoons spoofing fiction.
