It all depends on what "they" are aiming to do in the long run.

Why do you think 5. is a reasonable option and why do you think it should be in the list at all? What about the phenomenon would indicate specifically a non-earthbound intelligence?

And the advice about online courses was in all seriousness. I think that everyone should avail themselves of the remarkable opportunity that is online learning. I am currently in the middle of two courses. One from MIT via edx on transcription of DNA and another from Yale on the history of the Early Middle Ages via Yale Open Courseware which you can find on YouTube.

I am just watching the videos and not doing all the exercises etc but I am still learning a lot. I have in the past done a number of courses on a wide range of subjects on edx where I did pursue the certificates (and passed).
I did sciences at University and was largely ignorant of other subjects. Online learning has enabled me to further my science education in areas I am interested in as well as venture into unfamiliar territory in other subjects.

I started a post about info on the internet, and I wondered what the rest of you thought about it, I wasn't asking for some quirky remarks coming from someone who usually thinks he's a knowitall. Please don't assume things you like to use in attacks on other posters.
