The terms "MR," "LR," "KR," and "SR" are acronyms often used in technology, particularly in networking and communication. They are typically associated with the range or distance a device can operate or communicate over. Here's a breakdown:

MR (Medium Reach):
Indicates a medium range, often used in networking to describe the distance a device can connect over.

LR (Long Reach):
Denotes a longer range, suitable for inter-building or metropolitan area connections.

KR (Kilo-rate):
A less common term, but can sometimes be used in specific contexts within networking to refer to a kilobit rate.

SR (Short Reach):
Indicates a short range, typically for intra-building or shorter distances.

@MartinS it’s a play on spelling:

In England Mr is short for mister, so following the same logic Lr could be short for Lister, kr short for kissed her and sr short for sister.

I disagree

mr could be any word beginning with m and ending in r

The same applies to lr and sr; but following that logic then kr cannot be two words ie kissed her; it has to be one word beginning with k and ending in r
