I'm actually tempted to try the grob in a tournament.

So if it all goes wrong I know what to blame.

No, not my poor play!

the grob is playable in otb tournaments.

But if you try it at the 2400+ level then don't be surprised what happens

Everyone, I've been playing 1. e4 forever. I prefer the Scotch Gambit, or any other bishop's game if 1... e5

But I question you all here with this quandry.
Chess theory says that this position out of Scotch Gambit/3 knights for white is bad. I disagree.

1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. d4 exd4
4. Bc4 Nf3
5. e5 Ng4 (theory suggests against the Bishop sack at f7)
6. Bxf7+ Kxf7
7. Ng5+ Ke8
8. Qxg4 h6
9. Nf3 d6 (theory again states White has fallen behind)
10. Qg6+ Ke7 (Now, I do not see how this is bad for White...black's king is disturbed and blocking the queen and bishop on d-f8)

Anyone got any input on this? I've played several games from this position and find it quite playable.

It must be bad. White has not played g4!
