Castle queenside, push the h pawn until something takes it. Use h file for mate. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Did I make you throw your toys out of the pram by having the effronty to point out the flaws in your argument?

they are not flaws...it just shows you lack a clear understanding of the positional motifs of such a position...no worries.

Cheers.

maybe if you understood all of this as well as I you would not have a rating 100+ points lower than mine. do not pretend that you refuted ANYTHING...you merely did not understand the subtleties

Allright, allright.... this is my thread and I will not have people arguing, (actually Im flattered), but ANYWAY... the best idea ive heard so far is gaining a tempi while my opponent spends two moves setting up this position, unless I am castled queenside, which I hardly ever do.

Yep - I am a hundred points behind you. But you`ve played 700 games on here and I`ve played six.
I think it`s you who doesn`t understand the subleties.

Hey Hippo, I thought you said a fiachettoed bishop was easy to beat. I just looked at game 735978. Someone called Padad played a fianchettoed bishop against someone called.. erm..Hyper, and guess what? Poor old Hyper got stuffed.
Not that easy then, is it?

playing a full scicillian against a fianchettoed bishop works wonders. the idea is to do a pawn attack supported by your rooks from the back, and bishop from the sides.

I don`t usually play the sicillian but it works well with the openings I use.
