You are entitled to your views on homosexuality but what goes too far is making statements then retracting them. Just put your view out there, doubtless people will argue with you but maybe there is a chance for common ground.

Plus, straight sex can be, if done properly, an extraordinarily kinky and bizarre experience. We're all guilty of questionable activities from time to time.
HH
Katty doesn't approve of those activities- and that is her right! Those of you that think yourselves very modern and understanding, might also do well to understand that trying to force others to see the world the same way that you do, whilst being perversely self-satisfying, is also incredibly discriminatory, and conflicts with your soppy "why can't we all just get along?" mentality.
Katty's not preaching intollerence on these matters, so why should you preach tollerence?
There are different kinds of people in this world- with different sexual orientations and different views about such- and that is all well and good, but it is a fundamental right not to want to hear about them!
(And, personally, I wish to exercise that right right now! Anyone got anything slightly less boring to talk about? Like walnut cake. I had a slice this morning. It was delicious. Anyone have any views on walnut cake?)
Originally posted by sjegI disagree with this, I do not think it is a fundamental right not to want to hear about something, especially here on RHP, what convinces you of this opinion?

If someone is taking part in an online discussion forum, they must be aware that they will come across points of view that they do not wish to entertain. If they wish to avoid these points of view they should choose an alternative use of their time, just saying 'it is my right not to want to hear about it' is not good enough. If they wish to exercise that supposed right, they could refrain from taking part in the thread, instead choosing to post elsewhere.

I do however urge you to more fully assess what is being said by someone, before rebutting it.
Starrman, you misunderstand (perhaps rather disingenuously, I fear). We are talking about homosexuality- you wish me to spell this out, but once again, one risks offending the sensibilities of others.
I reserve the right for myself and for others NOT to approve of these acts. Now, you might say that nobody needs approval, and that is very true. So let them get on with it. But many (I would say the vast majority) believe that lifestyle to be unnatural. That is my opinion. Sorry (not really, you understand) if that bothers you.
I strongly object to those of you who see yourselves as politically correct or "tollerant" trying to force others to see the thing the way you do.
Aside from this, there is an time and a place for everything- and perhaps discussing the nature of diverse sexual acts is not quite apt for a public forum.
And, Starrman, you failed to address the issue of the cake. For shame!
Originally posted by sjegI don't believe that I am trying to force anyone to see things the way I do. I would be a poor excuse for a liberal if I reccommended tollerance without exercising it myself. My point was not concerned with which opinion was right, but with your claim that it was a fundamental right not to have to come across certian viewpoints. It is this that I disagreed with.

I do not think: a) that homosexuality is a subject that people should not have to hear other's opinions of. Taking part in a public forum means just that; it is public. Nor: b) that the subject of sexual acts should be refrained from discussion due to it being inappropriate for a general forum, though this is of course entirely debateable, just my personal view.
I am somewhat dismayed that you feel the need to include such comments as 'Sorry (not really, you understand) if that bothers you'. If you are not sorry, why post it? It seems to carry some veiled rudeness, I hope this was not the intention as I have no problem with you at all.
EDIT: And I'm more of a chocolate cake kinda guy 🙂

I think everyone needs to calm down just a little before someone gets lynched. Everyone is entitle to their opinions and beliefs, it only becomes a problem when people act on them. In my opinion people here seem a bit to eager to smash people into the ground so calm down. PLEASE.
*takes club and bashes trawets113 on the head*
hahaha now I'm calm... 😛

Originally posted by StarrmanMost probably a sincere misunderstanding, then. sjeg, you didn't see the start of the thread, so, quite frankly, you don't know what katty was or was not preaching.
Its obvious that you are old school catholic. Would you like it if eveytime you posted looking for a game against like minded people, ie: catholics, you got attacked, purely for being catholic? Would you like it if people jumped down your throat and told you to burn in hell, and to get to eff off the site, purely for being catholic?
I personally find every religion that spreads through aggression and conquest to be abhorrent. I also find the way the catholic church had free reign to rape kids by keeping the irish public in fear of them and ignorant sickening. Would you enjoy your time on this site, if I followed you around abusing you every time you posted, purely because of the way I feel about catholicism? Would you come back? Would this type of intolerance and bigotry be acceptable on an internet community, which is, in the end of the day, a business?
As for your little sermon promoting intolerance, three words... Love thy neighbour.
