Maybe your mate could have just mentioned he was a 'big guy' (relevant), rather than the added 'black' (irrelevant) in his hilarious anecdote
Current best boxer in world is Tyson Fury, he's white. Mike Tyson is long gone
By the way, I only mentioned Mike Tyson because most people know him. I could have easily said John Coffee, the guy* from Green Mile, but wasn't sure if everyone would get it.
@chaney3said If people have become overly sensitive to real life issues, which involves all races, because of the BLM movement, that's not my problem.
An angry, upset Mike Tyson demanding to know who farted is much funnier than Woody Allen asking the same thing.
People need to lighten up.
Why on Earth are you referring to "an angry, upset Mike Tyson"?
Why are you suggesting that Phil A Dork "...could have gotten [his] a$$ kicked..." in the scenario depicted in his story?
You imagine Phil O Dork's "very funny black man" who was "very funny" because of "the way he talked" was going to "kick" Phil O Dork's "a$$" because of what? Because of a fart?
And you imagine he was maybe going to do this because he was a "funny black man"?
@chaney3said What's the problem with telling the truth about who the guy was?
Perhaps this is "the truth" about him...?
The fact that he was black and the way he talked made it funny.
American blacks are different than blacks in the rest of the world.
American blacks are way funnier than other blacks.
If it wasn't for him and his reaction to the fart it would not have been funny.
Where's your "Mike Tyson" and potential violence-because-of-a-fart angle?
Maybe your "truth" about the "funny black man" and "the funny way he talked" is not exactly the same as Phil A Dork's "truth" about "American blacks" and "blacks in the rest of the world".
@chaney3said The mention here of the "big black dude" is NOT racist, in my opinion.
It's relevant to know who exactly was getting in your face. If Mike Tyson demanded to know who farted, as opposed to some small wimpy white guy, it dramatically changes the context of the situation. You could have gotten your a$$ kicked in one scenario, which is what adds humor to the story.
No racism here.
I concur chaney3! Also, wouldn't matter if it was a small wimpy white or black guy for that matter!
@great-big-steessaid It was a hot summer’s night about 25+ years ago and my wife said she thought there was a bat flying in our bedroom. I turned on the light and sure enough there was the wee beastie. I said not to worry I’d take care of it and asked where the kids butter fly nets were. She said in the garage(a stand alone bldg about 50ft from our back door. It was about 3 in the morning ...[text shortened]... ght the bat and my wife and I had a good laugh, her saying that she hoped it wasn’t anybody we knew.
That would be Embarrassing, Awkward and funny. Best story so far Stees in my opinion that is! 🙂
EDIT: Not taking anything away from some of the other ones I might add
