17 days to go 🥱

Ventured out to my local Tesco Extra - big mistake, the car park was gridlocked at 12.30. Managed to retreat in 10 mins luckily.

Remember going to Tesco on Christmas eve once in the early afternoon, once and never again. Remember my sister sending me a picture from Tesco at the start of Covid, people buying things like the world was going to end, crazy.

It's the 9th December and I have spent most of the day "boiling" 24 Onions for Bill's Big Bag of Christmas Onions which will be broadcast to anything up to 8,000,000,000 people on the 24th [and repeated on the 26th] later this month.

I’m chopping up cabbage for sauerkraut.

As tempting as saurkraut would be, sorry, it's strictly a case of onions only, especially in the Xmas show.

Late Christmas Eve food shopping is always worth a gander. There can either be a load of half price turkey crowns, sides of salmon and Christmas puddings or the shelves are stripped bare.

Always keep a little bit of room in your freezer …. just in case.

Our freezer has lots of room in it as one of our children keeps coming back “home” thinking we are a “food bank”. Hey honey, let’s have a BBQ steak for dinner tonight.👍 Oooops, seems they’re all gone.😲😡😢
