    ...retrospective, part 1.

Twenty exquisite Onions - written by 17 different Onionistas - selected from the 260 that were broadcast in the course of series 5.

The short excerpts of eclectic instrumental music interspersed with the boy-you-got-'em-all-jammed-in-here microfictions, and the absence of From Colchester To Sulawesi at the end, gives this highlights reel edition of the show a very different feel.

If anyone wants to nominate any favourite Onions or whole shows or discuss my thoughtful curation of the featured music [also 260 tunes over the whole series], this is the thread for it.

We can broaden it out to a discussion about UK local radio in the C21st and the COVID-triggered boom in podcast making and consumption.

I can even take questions on the history of radio and mass media generally.

I’ve just thumbed down every post in this thread, and you know what… I feel very slightly proud of myself.

Colchester has many attractions, and many interesting activities, such as shopping.

Attacking and mocking my supposed sexual triggers in one thread is not really a good basis for a retort to my challenges to you in another Suzianne.

I like to think The Gravedigger is referring to Erroneous Reckoning by Bill Lawrance which was maybe the first Onion in Show 527.

    Edit: it is.

Drewnogal suggested I give it a listen, not sure what to make of it.

I wouldn't worry about it then, if I were you. It's probably just not your cup of tea.
