Define "rich."
If I lived in a third world country under what was left of a bombed out roof, scrambling for every meal, I would consider someone in the USA living in a 30-year old mobile home with a working refrigerator and a 15 year old car to be RICH.

What is your definition of "rich." Is it someone who has worked for 45 years, starting at minimum wage but working so hard and being so diligent that they gradually improved their position or became more highly skilled in some trade. Years go by, and each time raises were discussed, they got one because it was obvious what a value to their company they provided. After about 35 years of hard work, they began to draw pay at a higher clip than the median income of their area. They sacrificed and saved as much as they could while putting their kids through school so their kids could start out life from a better position they started from. Are those included in the hated "rich people" talk?

Libs throw that term out a lot. They want to raise taxes on "the rich." They speak like they mean corporate owners, but their definition of "rich" is on the move, and scary. They will soon raise the tax rates on lifetime savings of working class people (401K and pension taxes) in the name of spreading the wealth to help the poor.

The very legislators that speak of such things are "rich" beyond my wildest dreams. What's Pelosi's worth now...well over $100,000,000 (that was in 2010)...

"Rich" - is a relative term. Sometimes.
I know that I am rich to many people in third world countries, as compared to themselvses.
In America, I am considered poor, simply because I don't have the glitzy assets and cash in the bank as most.
But you know what? There is an absolute view, too. I lack NOTHING. Therefor, I am rich. I am blessed.

Libs cannot fathom, cannot 'put', themselves in your 2nd paragraph above.

It would be like me walking into a calculus classroom and the professor looking right at me and explaining his theorem for 3 minutes........

Chipotle just grudgingly agreed to raise the average wage of their workers to $15 an hours and claimed they had to raise the price of their food 4% because of this. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/08/chipotle-hikes-prices-to-cover-the-cost-of-raising-wages.html

Here's what some of their executives made in 2019: https://www1.salary.com/CHIPOTLE-MEXICAN-GRILL-INC-Executive-Salaries.html

Their CEO: "
Chipotle Mexican Grill CEO Brian Niccol took home $38 million in 2020 — up from $33.5 million in 2019 "

" Niccol made 2,898 times more than the median Chipotle worker’s salary of $13,127,"

We believe in Liberty, Freedom Capitalism, and our Constitution.
Lower Taxes, less bureaucracy, Choice in schools
Free market solution for healthcare (with pre-existing conditions)
Law and order for safety and security
Energy independence
Border security
Free and fair trade

Now, please chime in if you take exception to any of these, it could be interesting. Put AvJoe down as a firm believer.
I am not as far from those positions as you might think. It's unfortunate that some unethical connivers have tarnished the Conservative brand.

However, it should also be mentioned that Conservatism seems to imply holding onto traditions and maintaining the status quo, even if those currently seem unreasonable things to do.

To energy independence I would add food independence and water independence. We should also take steps to make sure no one can rock our boat with currency manipulations.

Out of respect for the European Enlightenment context of our country's foundation, let's also maintain some respect for Reason. I'm not at all a fan of politicians cynically playing upon the superstitious religious beliefs of some of our citizens who are full of faith but lacking in reason.

Not sure about the belief in Capitalism, which has been empirically shown to result in the concentration of the means of production, control, and influence (e.g., through publishers and broadcasters) into fewer and fewer hands.

If I may make a request: when needed and when conscience allows, stand with the writers and other artists who get woke-mobbed into silence. It's really just mob violence. The "woke" probably can't see how much they remind other people of "Socialist Realism" from Stalin's era.

You write this as if the CEOs are on the premises doing the cooking, keeping the books.
Do you have ANY IDEA what CEOs do, the risks they take, the jobs they create, being totally involved in the running, the delegating, of a HUGE corporation, keeping an even keel, promoting more facilities, more jobs. Thousands of people look up to him to keep them employed, etc etc. He brought Chipotle back from near ruin (the food poisoning) and saved the ship. Just doing THAT was worth quite a few million.
They pay talent, Marauder. You can think about the menu or whatever, or the entry level jobs for young folks as they step out into the world....to become CEOs. Next you will be saying what Bernie says....Pay them a wage that they can raise a family on. Uh, that aint the job of our CEO. Do you think it is??

Thank you, my friend.

Liberals tend to think that capitalists and free marketers (<-- me) are greedy people. In truth, people like me
just cherish FREEDOM, and yes, FREE market has to be part of the equation in FREEDOM.

And I am free as I can be, happy as a clam.

Boy you worship those suits like they are Gods. The fact of the matter is that the average sixth grade teacher has a harder and more important job than these clowns.

But hey I'm always willing to compromise; let's pay them 20X what the median worker at their company makes like in 1965. Surely people with their unique genius can thrive on that.

They *force* money from the poor, ATY?? Really? Name one company that can use *force* to extract money from the poor.

The only organizations I know that can do this systemically are governments and mafiosos gangs. "Give me your money or BANG BANG"
