We all must cast about for activities that impart meaning to our lives.

Even theists must do this. They must find fellow theists that share meaningful causes.

Both the theism of theists ~ and the lack of theism of all the rest of us ~ are part of the 'nurture' in the nature-nurture continuum that affects the courses of our lives ~ the meanings we attach to things, the purposes that we construct for ourselves, the impacts we have on one another, and the unique narratives that define and identify us as individuals.
