A metaphor doesn't justify the crucifixion of Jesus.
Something must be real, right?
Lest God is petty.
A metaphor or allegorical description of an event which happened does not somehow make it such that the event didn't happen.

Of the supernatural events recorded in the Bible, which do you believe actually happened?

(It doesn't have to be a list. Just one or two of the most noteworthy is fine.)
Creation and the healing of the man born blind.

Most Christians will "believe" in stories that fit their belief system, and discard stories that don't.

Dive, as an example, will discard all stories relating to hell.

I haven't discard them, you are making this up.

I have stated and in fact proved that they cannot be literal.

You have just proven my point.
You pick apart the Bible, and believe only those stories that fit your own personal belief system.

All Christians and I suspect all theists do this to some extent.

In fact you do it yourself; one day you think you are a Christian and you accept aspects of the faith, the next day you don't think you are a Christian and you reject all parts of the faith.

That is not what the bible teaches throughout both testaments, quite the opposite in fact.

What "justifies" this or what "jusrifies" that is a matter for you. But it'd be silly if you think that saying a story is allegorical or metaphorical is the same as saying it is not true.

Mankind does not rely upon chaney3's perception of events.
Yet, most Bible stories are likely false, so, most are well informed.

The story of Adam and Eve, according to the Abrahamic religions ~ Islam, Christianity and Judaism ~ is an allegorical one about the relationship between human beings and God.
