What Christ said to his disciples does not apply to how governments handle conflict between nations.
But it does apply to how a Christian might or might not serve in the military. What does Jesus have to say on violence? And i ask that as someone who genuinely doesn't know.

You are asking someone who genuinely does not know either.

From what I can gather followers of Christ are to avoid violence if at all possible. I would not extend that to mean at all cost. Anyone who tries to extend that to all possible situations have not been in all possible situations.

Ask any JW if confronted with a bunch of drug-infested hobos gang-raping their teenage daughter how they would act if they had a BabeRuth or a SaturdayNight Special in their hand. I would bet that there would be a couple less hobos on the street after that.

Its very nice and comfortable for us to proclaim how we should act when things are peaceful, but when confronted with the situation we will do what we need to do to protect ourselves and loved ones from harm and danger. And this is the right thing to do.

In the case of countries entering into war, it would depend in my opinion on the situation. Christians should not get involved in what is clearly aggressive and unprovoked warfare. Christians should not have supported Hitler for example who clearly had evil motives. This is the reason why God gave all people a conscience to decide what is right and what is wrong.

But like I first said I dont know either. Christ will judge how well we have conducted ourselves in the face of aggression and hostility.

Why not? Because you are either deliberately using the word "propaganda" incorrectly or you do not know the meaning of the word.

"Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position so as to benefit oneself or one's group."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda
That seems to me what G75 was trying to do. Didn't his propaganda
influence you toward the view of the JWs and away from my true
Christian beliefs. You are much more on his side than on the side
of true Christians, like myself.

That's from the OT though. What does Jesus have to say on the matter? You are after all a Christian and not Jewish.
Jesus is the Lord. That is what it says in the New Testament.

P.S. Jesus said, "I am Lord ..."
And Jesus (Yahshua) was Jewish.

Here again you pick and choose what seems to support your stand
against the military. Jesus clearly told his disciples that He did not
need or want His disciple protection for He had ample means of
protection. Clearly, it would have interferred with His sacrificial
plan for them to fight at that time.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” (John 18:36)

The United States of America was established by God to be a Christian nation.
Our military not only fights for our governmen,t but also for Christ in order to
maintain a place that we can freely practice our Christian faith until He returns.

P.S. Notice He said His Kingdom is not "NOW" from here. It will be.

How is it possible for one man to come out with such nonsense?

The words "Jesus Christ, Christianity, Bible, Creator, Divine, and God" are not mentioned in your Constitution-- not even once.

Even i as an Englishman know that. How can you be so blind?

No.
you were calling the opinion of "Encyclopedia Canadiana " propaganda.

I was telling you that as Encyclopedia Canadiana had no vested interest in the side for or against JWs then its text could not be called propaganda.

G75 used a quote from that tome to back-up an argument. That is called debating a point it is not propaganda.

edit: I am NOT on the side of JWs as you well know, but I do respect the truth.

Didnt you know that Mr Hinds redefines words, invents his own science and re-writes history?

But well spotted; I tend to speed read his drivel and I shouldnt have let that nugget go!
