Consider your question amended; why do so many avowed theists come here to argue about their faith, since they already know the true nature of reality?

I'll tell you why I post.
Because of the sheer joy of sowing seeds of truth which may one day result in someone meeting Jesus. That is just like one day each of us believers in Christ did.

You call that proselytizing. Jesus called it going into all the world and preaching the gospel to every creature under heaven.

I know I may not witness the changing of a life once it has met Jesus. These things do take time. But there is hardly any higher joy then leading someone to meet the Lord Jesus.

If others look at that and say "Aha, you just want proselytes" so be it.

I like this.

Come now, and let us reason together, Says the LORD,
Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.

The vernacular of the various interpretations use
reason together
settle the matter
settle this
discuss this
consider your options
but generally convey the original
u-nukche which is transliterated and we shall correct, imparting a sense of getting after that thing which philosophy pursues, truth.
But it's not simply a matter of one type of thought, faith, but also, reason.

Which is not to say reason alone will or can bring someone to salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ; rather, it is a way of saying: consider it all.
Use every tool available to you.
Use reason.
Logic.
Science.
Quantum physics.
String theory.
Whatever.
Be exhaustive, but get to the end of it and consider the options with whatever vistas are attained.

Instead of being apart, He can bring you into the whole of His reality.

If you want to understand the universe you have to study carefully Jesus Christ.

If you want to understand man, you have to examine the centrality of man - Jesus the Son of God - the Son of Man.

Have to!

You do realize, you don't have to read it. Just curious rwingett!
If a theist says something in this forum and nobody reads it, is he still wrong?

But for some, it's the closest thing to a philosophy forum on RHP. Questions of what makes something true, what makes something moral, what makes something real, what makes something important, what gives purpose and meaning, have no other place to go at RHP; and we who think about th ...[text shortened]... give you someone to save. You should be recruiting.
