Do any religious people do this. Why? Are you stupid?

This 'child grooming' is acceptable to Catholics why?
Child grooming has nothing to do with hitting them.

Corporal punishment is recommended in the bible even for children growing up. Of course this must be done in a caring and responsible way. Punishing / hitting children while angry and frustrated can lead to cruelty with unintended negative consequences.

There is no such thing as child grooming in the bible. If it is practiced by some churches then these people are evil and sinful and will face the consequences both here on earth and in the life to come.
Yes, so this is basically the pope's view.

Does faith overcome the physics law or is it not necessary when you are pleasantly violent towards a young child.

When dealing with law in my country this ideology is illegal.

And good reason why we shouldn't look to ancient religious texts for guidance!

Hurting children in a "caring and responsible way".
Repeat that a few times to yourself, digest it.

Rod your children backs and stone your wives and daughters.

    Seems fine.

I think people in many parts of the world has [thank God for the internet and social media] seen the great kids / teens / young adults, produced by these so called advanced countries with their advanced way of training kids. You people serve as a perfect example of going your own way and not following Gods way.

Is it advanced to not bring your children up through violence?

Dont know, dont care either what the Popes view is. I just pointed out the biblical take on the subject.

I dont know what country you are in but in most countries it is not illegal to spank your child. Those countries that make it difficult or illegal for parents to discipline kids through this method end up with more problems than solutions.

Spanking is not violence. Here is what the bible foretold about your society:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves,
    covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
    disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    Without natural affection, trucebreakers,
    false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good,
    Traitors, heady, highminded,
    lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
    (2 Timothy 3:1-4 KJV)

Sounds about right. You would do well to take corrective action.
Your advanced kid-rearing method takes the credit.

I had a professor back in University -- he was an atheist, but generally a conservative. He was a strange combination of progressive but conservative.

One of the things that I appreciated about him was that he always took grad students out, and he was hard on everyone, about everything... He'd also smoke cigars in his office while he lectured.

Once, he was saying something about how difficult it is to put principles into practice, and we got on the topic of raising kids..

    He said soemthing like...

All these people who raised one or two daughters and talk about how they never, ever had to hit a kid are pulling your leg... I've raised two daughters and a son, and I can tell you that sure, with daughters, it is possible to never have to do that... but with a son? Holy cow, sometimes giving them a little smack is the only thing that works!

This position makes sense to me.

Of course, we want to avoid doing it... but it also makes sense that, once in a while, it is somewhat necessary, and perhasp even contributes to the maturity of children.

Sixty countries, states and territories have adopted legislation that fully
prohibits using corporal punishment against children at home, according
to both UNICEF and the Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children.

Sweden was the first in 1979, I guess that was the beginning of the end for them?

    Violence is never 'pleasant'.
