There have been hundreds and hundreds of interesting debates and discussions on this forum in the years I have been here, regardless of whether you yourself happen to think they have been "actual" or not.

I don't know any "anti Christian Spiritual Nazis" and I'm certainly not aware of any who post on this forum.

The most trenchantly "anti" religion poster, and so, by extension, the most "anti" Christian religion poster here, is arguably sonhouse, but he's not a "Spiritual Nazi", far from it.

Perhaps your rather peculiar perspective precludes you from realizing that there have been innumerable good debates and discussions on this forum involving dozens and dozens, maybe even hundreds, of people with all manner of beliefs.

I assume that isn't a serious comment about a challenge since your rating is 200 higher than mine. I am pleased with what I have achieved after playing for just over a year, but playing people in the 1500s is about the level to develop my game and playing me offers your game nothing.

Slightly bewildered by some of your claims since FMF's response did not confirm the OP, but if I argue that it will just go round in circles with nobody budging an inch or listening to each other which is the reason I rarely bother with 'debates' forum. That's at best, at worst the communication regresses to playground.

I have a feeling he thinks that, whatever he comes up with when he is trying to be supercilious, it will somehow come across as being self-evidently true in the eyes of those he assumes are seeing things the same way as he is.

Accept, the going around in circles part is what others do here. You have your opinion and I don't care to change it.

As far as the chess thing, I didn't even look at your rating when I invited the challenge. Sorry about that. I totally understand. As stated, I really came here to play chess so I was a little excited at the prospect of another game. You're doing GREAT for playing just a year. I've been playing about 50 years and I am still blundering more often than I should.

If you are interested in capturing annoying repeating patterns in threads as opposed to ...[text shortened]... ttacking one liners is a recurring annoyance despite their growing appeal in our sound bite culture.

Not to step in like some reliable back-up buddy, bufu buddy, or straight-man sidekick (btw, which Players letters are still available?), but I think Tom was only referring to the Spiritual Torture Playground when he wrote that, and not the RHP Forum Massive as a whole.

By far the best forum on the site is the chess only forum. There is no room for the bs you find in other forums.

Whereas, as I understand it, no need for high fives among Christians, except if they enjoy that kind of silly childlike thing, because the High has arrived and the High is alive and preceded our lives and has sprouted our fives.
