If that's how you want it but the fact that you followed my post here with a redundant comment suggests to me that you are still sore because you played the odds in a debate and lost. Google Liverpool. Yes, the crime rate is high, yes, there are high rates of drug dealing. Further personal detail about me, well that's my business.

More than happy to play chess and chat.

Your statement 'Like a laser!' suggests that FMF has gone straight for a minor detail in paragraph six (not literally, I can do metaphor too!). In fact he has challenged the content of the OP saying it doesn't describe RHP threads and challenged you to prove him wrong with an example.

If you are interested in capturing annoying repeating patterns in threads as opposed to ...[text shortened]... ttacking one liners is a recurring annoyance despite their growing appeal in our sound bite culture.
It wasn't a "gotcha." It was the most succinct way I could think of to point out that the OP was confirmed. I don't use exclamation points often, but one was needed after "like a laser" because I was truly amazed at how quickly the OP was confirmed.

I wasn't placing myself above the community. That's absurd. I merely made an observation which frankly should be expected. Surely you don't think the discussions in this SF are anything close to normal. If you do, I recommend you broaden your horizons a little. Actual, deep discussions, sans the incessant trolling and gang warfare, do occur elsewhere.

"Then why don't you go there if it's so great," some may say. Hey, I haven't made any bones about it. I didn't come here to evangelize or win hearts and minds. This place is way beyond that. I'm here (at least in the forums) for entertainment purposes. Not to make a mockery, but, just to have fun. If the fun wears off, I can always leave the forums and do what I really came here to do which is play chess. You seem eager to play, so send me a challenge if you want. That'd be great.

You say that as if it were a bad thing.

But your OP wasn't "confirmed". You were asked to provide examples that substantiated your claim that the fictionalized dialogue in the OP was indeed "a typical RHP SF discussion" but you have declined to do so, and here we are on page 5 already. Your OP has not been "confirmed" at all. It is you who has to do that.

No, I don't have to confirm anything. The beauty of it is, you did it for me. The OP makes a point that people of reasonable intelligence would understand. There's really nothing left to say beyond that.

The OP offers a rather silly made-up caricature of a SF dialogue that is not "typical" at all. Can you provide any examples of discussions you have been involved in here that render your spoof dialogue valid or realistic?

The only "point" I see to the way you are conducting yourself is that you got in a tangle and then bent out of shape on the "Problem of Goodness" thread and then hastily started this half-baked one because you were in a huff.

Do you have a point in here somewhere, or is this just more random surliness?

Edit: it's amazing how much more you sound like a decent human being when you post in the Only Chess forum!
