I used to play Dutch and the bird as well 🙂 but they both tend to become pretty boring. I love attacking play and admittedly am not very good at strategic games. Sometimes it is fun too to play the Schlieman in the Ruy Lopez (another one of those things no one sees coming 🙂 )

Albins is fun too but even more unsound as the Halloween is, lol, does not stop me from playing it though 😛

Yes, that's it! It used to be at a different address. I just saw that it's by the same author as the article coentje posted. It may be the same article, or a shorter version of it.

The Dutch becoming boring? I find that hard to imagine! But I haven't played very many games with it yet, as most players here don't play d4. The only time I played the Bird was in the From Gambit tournament. The tournament was fun, but I didn't really feel like continuing to use that opening. I don't think I have tried the other openings you mention. I try to play the same openings over and over again to get familiar with them.

if everyone would play from's gambit against the bird it would still be fun, most of the time it turns out to be kind of a mirror image of the dutch, well for me anyway.

Maybe we should set up a albin themed tournament 🙂
