And he made a slow start last month too, if I remember correctly.

Marko's holiday appears to be over. I expect his move rate to increase once his lost luggage turns up.

Maybe Marko has a strategy to win this contest of the 1.000.000 moves..... He is now ready to go for the last kilometer in his prime...

and zorro (he or perhaps she) is going to be exhausted before the 999.900 moves.....totally broken

Marko for sure will be the winner of this.

2 Marko Krale 981663

So Zorro is now the number ONE with 3000 moves in just 3 days...... obviously he or she is going to be very tired .....

Another thing to bear in mind is their 'games in progress'

Zorro: 807
Marko: 550

It does my head in if my gameload rises above 40. Heaven knows what it must be like with 10x or even 20x that number

Absolutely right. I remember going up to 50+ games once...couldn't focus properly, blunders galore, rushing into moves etc. Its astonishing to cope with even 100+ matches, in my book.

Maybe there is not one zorro or one marko, it has to be many people from different computers playing under the same user account.....

More like who's one more head-to-head matches.

They have 32 head-to-head games on the go at the moment. The millionth move could come in one of them.

It would be fitting if it does happen that way.

They have finished 372 matches so that will make 404. I am not going to take the time though to see who has won more.

You can only play one move at a time. I have more games going right now than Zorro and keep a rating around 2000. It requires a high degree of stamina a dedication to "Ninja Chess". Ninja chess requires a philosophical acceptance that you will not always find the best move in the allotted time.

Zorro is pulling away. Marko dropped the ball, BIG TIME. Unless he is dead, he had this all locked up a couple weeks ago.
