~guys and ~gals in the cave

one fine saint paddy's night many moons before squares became wheels; after skies had rained to provide beverages; and berries and odd roots and fermentable grapes had been found in ground and soil; and primitive weapons had been fashioned to slay beasties for food, most all of the cave guys and gals were bathing by the beautiful banks of the river limpopo.

one young thing with braided hair piped up, 'don't you duds think we should start some kind of outernetz forum with the other villages across the river?'. all of them [short and tall, big and small] almost tripped over their loin leaves trying to speak first: 'yep!'. henceforth, the first cave forum was born. would any of the guys and gals reading this [mostly true] historical account, now, like to go figure and do the maths to determine the topic of that very first 'cold hewn stone' outernetz forum? extra points to any m/f or bff with a nice avatar who comes up with the first op to get carved in cold stone on that special day.

I reckon the first post would have been rules
like the ten commandments.

Chicks do the cooking, mind the young.
Dudes do all the dangerous things like
hunting animals and protecting the home and family.

The second post would be a Women's Lib Post.

The post that was quoted here has been removed
... honest guys and gals, basking by the beautiful banks of the river limpopo
with high ingredient, adult fu-fu beverages with unbrellas, in both hands.

First senator of the meagre village would have spouted, "Oh yeah! Who's a threat will get banned first!" 😀

... first senator's celtic courtisan belongs to a competitive outerwebz forum which, also, offers on-line correspondence chess. word has it that she asked senator obie columbia to make backroom inquiries as to whom the poverty stricken village whistleblower might have in mind, a purveyor of green spam or a box owner. last we've heard is that the supine high court is still out.

According to Kipling, the Limpopo River was "great grey-green, greasy...all set about with fever-trees" AND there's at least one hungry crocodile lurking about.

You must go to the banks
Of the great grey-green
To the banks of the green
And greasy Limpopo River
Set about with fever trees
All aquiver
So you must go to the banks
Of the Limpopo River

On the banks of the river
Your search will end
There, where the Limpopo waters
Meet the might of the ocean
Dangers lurk
Beware your foolhardy notion
Journeys that end there may tend to
Bring much mixed emotion

It's great
As the River Nile
It's grey
But a certain style
It's green
Why not stay a while?
It's greasy!

It sounds rather vile
But if that's where I must go
Then plans should be made
Maybe I could bring an end to the crab's tirade
I'm not afraid

So you must go to the banks
Of the great grey-green
To the banks of the green
And greasy Limpopo River
Set about with fever trees
All aquiver

(So I must go) So you must go to the banks of the Limpopo River

You'll find your answer in the River Limpopo

You must go to the banks
Of the great
Grey grey-green
To the banks of
The great great greasy
Limpopo River
Set about with fever trees all aquiver

You must go to the banks
Of the great
Grey grey-green
To the banks of
The great great greasy
Limpopo

I've always heard them called "fru-fru".

I assumed, you know, because of the fruit?

So?

Jealous you didn't find it first?

Or did all the "fu-fu" get in the way?
