STATEMENT

It states that Earl had put in a complaint that someone had stolen his go a few words ago?
It says he is due a

◾️E◾️A◾️A◾️IO◾️ or ◾️O◾️◾️E◾️◾️A◾️IO◾️
I'll come along quietly ...
To state the (hopefully now) obvious ....
Believed [me(a)nt] ... what they said [state] = what they said [statement].
and
Communication [statement] = nation[state], males[men] start to talk [t]
and
Got mixed up testament from my bank. [Testament is an anagram of statement]
and
Nation [state] intended [me(a)nt] - that is what I said = [statement]

Indeed, @Earl deserves reparation and / or compensation.
@Earl - where are you?

Thank you.
I try .. though when no one gets them, they can't be that good.
The fun is in seeing them solved.

And what ever happened to Paul? This is beginning to feel a little concerning, although admittedly we're not all trapped in a manor house during a storm. 😉

Meanwhile, how about this one for October?

Hey @Earl, we were actually trying to page @Earl-of-Trumps to pick up one of the lobby phones.

But if you are into this kind of game, please join in!

Here's another dinner-mint for the season:

If you see these in the woods, do not approach!

Oh! I think all the players deserve bonus points. Mine was too open-ended and had too many valid solutions.

What I had in mind (considering the season) was:

STAIRS

(based on the "stairs in the woods horror meme or trope" -- but now I think that was too obscure -- sorry about that!)

So, maybe roll a d6 to decide who goes next? -- or it could just be whoever has a good one ready to go. 😉
