And when you answer in good faith - they start to polemize with you.

Damned them.

Socrates, for example, died after drinking poison if it's any consolation.

Scrates was an old fart with bombones de chocolate in his toga and he was confusing young boys so he deserved his destiny, stubborn old prick as he was. And he preferred sympho-rock as another bearded guy, much younger and much influential... But that's another story.

Did you really think I started this thread without spell-checking tools, bunch of dictionaries both online and n the paper and on the parchment?

Polemize or polemicize, that was the question, and then is there such a verbum in English world at all?! I even asked some English liguists in the middle of the night (I lost account of Time zones) and they cursed when I told them it was only for a thread on Red Hot Porn forum...

And there are so many similar, beautiful but confusing words, aardvark, a monster who eats ants, and awkward, the word ant is also awkkward because it's similar to aunt, and sometimes I mention my aunt as an ant, and the band Adam an the ants I describe as Adam and the aunts, so I get strange feeling, my aunt multiplied and began to play guitar (which wouldn't surprise me, because she is very much alive and kicking), and that some monster from outer space ate my aunt, and it's so exciting in Red-Headed League----

Monster? We only eat aunts when there are no other life infested planets nearby. Aliens need to eat too, you pretzel munching beer and fine wine swilling human you...

Sorry for the outburst, it's just that we have feelings too ya know.

We tried eating FMF once and it almost killed us... I'm still puking up bits and pieces of him.

If people knew what a rhetorical question was, would they still answer one?

Probably, I am right now in Amsterdam, in coffee shop hotel Voyagers, just back from Peter Weller gig in Haag.

I'm jealous. 🙂 I've always wanted to go there to play chess in coffee shops. 😀

Unfortunately, it's a time-honored method (here, anyways ) of increasing traffic, appearing to know what they're talking about, and getting some thumbs up.

Elsewhere, it's usually called trolling, and is considered bad form. I don't know why it seems to be the first line of offense here.

Actually, there is a chess club (and go club) in the neighboring restaurant "Batavia 1920". I made short video clip from a final day of a blitz tournament in February. They seem to be little bit closed, I think. But they have excellent cottage pie. Windows from the basement looks at the channel.

My hotel is on the pics:

First night I spent on the top, basic single room with only sink in it,

and then moved to I floor - no elevators and Dutch stairs are like magic bean from fairy tales - in bay window ensuite:::
