It would be way above your paygrade to do something that solves the root problem, gangs in those countries with their citizens seeking asylum, helping out with those countries financial problems would go a long way to slow down the rush to our border but that would be above the ability of magites to even contemplate much less give them a penny.
Wait. You think the US needs to solve the problems of all the other countries where immigrants are coming from?

That's impossible. The incentive to come here is about employment. Half of our farming workforce are illegal. Republicans don't want to address that part.

The incentive to come here is to escape cruel cartels who put the 14 yo girls into prostitution and the 14 yo boys to be warriors in their gang. By the thousands. That is a HUGE part of why they come.

We don't need new immigration laws
Do you really think this, or are you covering for your cult leader?

JJ, Immigration law has been broken for decades. We let too many in. Refugee status needs to be fixed and the burden dispersed internationally. The enforcement of illegal employment is lax. We allow visa overstays. We probably should not let tourists come here just to have kids. We've all known it, discussed it, complained about it. You think it's fine?

We don't need new laws? Garbage. Terrible take.

Congress neglects its duty. They should all be fired.

I think JJ is saying to enforce them.

A few hundred million was put into a bill to help out Central America but totally rejected by repubs, can't have something that could stop the flow of really scared folks trying to survive being killed by cartels or their daughters forced into prostitution or their sons forced to be trigger men.

Surely you do not want to debate Biden breaking those laws? Can you answer this without mentioning Trump, you will get more creds, dont you know. Imagine how much more enjoyable SHouse posts would be if he got off of Trump.
Hey, tell us that Biden is enforcing the existing, enforceable, laws at the Border.

Do you think we should put a few hundred million into OUR country for the success and prosperity of America? If those countries continue to live as they have for hundreds of years, dusty roads,, the works, what business is that of ours. And Sonhouse, how about 'Central Africa'>. You wanna help central america, how about Chad and those countries?????? You will not answer this question.

You're the one that keeps mentioning trump.

I am really quite surprised that you think our immigration laws are working fine for everyday America. Really surprised.

Yeah, like ignoring the fact that Trump screwed up immigration so badly there was a dearth of workers to pick fruit and such in the fields with farmers having to plow under viable products because there was nobody to pick them. And of course seeing that problem Average Joe would be the first one to volunteer to go pick those crops so they would get to market and not rot in the fields.

The trump administration restrictions on LEGAL immigration is what caused the spike in illegal immigration, because farmers needed the workers so badly.

Then, trump increased the amount of federal handouts to farmers by $20 billion annually, forever.

    Great.
