By following this formula the Dems (DNC) can keep asking for more money from their base ad infinitum . Creating crisis after crisis , playing the victim card and always having lame excuses for why they cannot help the people . If the Dems simply passed Medicare for All and a $15 min wage they would quickly become so popular that they would not need to be constantly begging for money . Contributions would diminish and that is not what American politics is really about . Accumulation of money is what it is all about . Why do you think that both the Dems and Repugs muster all their resources to defeat a Progressive ? It is something that both parties can agree on completely .

yep, the point is, Republicans deliver on their promises. "More guns, less abortions, more God!!". They don't alienate their base mostly because the stuff they promise to them and what they promise to their donors are not in conflict. The social issues are easy and the economic issues are simply blamed on immigrants and democrats.

Democrats keep failing to deliver and they do so while giving off the impression they are weak and incompetent, unwilling to fight republicans. The independent and democrat voters will simply give up and just not show up to vote in the midterms.

No offence, I’m not an American and to a non American Democratic Party is a usurpation of a global descriptor and gets even worse when you start labelling people democratic voters, all voters in a democracy are exercising their democratic rights.
The idea that not abiding by this confusing and slightly arrogant usage of the word by a political party puts you in the same cat ...[text shortened]... of his shows is a bit overbearing.
So are members of this party to be referred to as Democratic’s?
We Democrats of the Democratic Party appreciate your concern for Democracy.

That proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Democracy just doesn't work . Democracy places brutal dictators in control . Real evidence !

I said to sh76 on November 9th: "The Democrats could be as "radical" as Joe Manchin would let them be" if they won the two Georgia Senate seats. https://www.redhotpawn.com/forum/debates/the-best-outcome.187277/page-8

That seems to have been vindicated.

The reality is in a 50-50 Senate the Democrats need Manchin more than he needs them.

In the end, Manchin as a Democrat will vote for Biden's bill with some modifications. No Republican will.

It is highly unlikely any Democratic candidate more "liberal" than Manchin would have any chance of winning a West Virginia Senate race any time in the near future. Manchin crushed a leftist challenger, Paula Jean Swearengin, in 2018 getting almost 70% of the Democratic primary vote. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_United_States_Senate_election_in_West_Virginia#Candidates

The Democrats nominated Swearengin in 2020 to run against West Virginia's other Senator, Republican Shelley Moore Caputo. It was a massacre with Caputo getting 70% of the vote to Swearengin's 27%. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelley_Moore_Capito

8 democrats voted against 15$ min wage to be added to the relief bill. If 8 republicans voted against McConnell whe he was majority leader there would have been hell to pay.

Schumer won't do jack. He is weak/unwilling.

Oh well, business as usual. Good luck getting people to vote for you in 2020
