Zahlooney Bamboozle,

Since you're not talking to me, but you're speaking for No.1, Would No.1 agree that Israel should be able defend itself against such attacks, remembering that the Hamas and now Islamic Jihad rockets continue from prior to the slaughter, non-stop to this day? The Hamas and Islamic Jihad rockets are truly 'indiscriminate' not 'indiscriminate' in the way ...[text shortened]... sed the word, (English as a second language, much? ) Their target is civilians, the more the better.
Israel has to defend itself by following the laws of war which require avoidance of civilian losses and proportionality in response.

It consistently refuses to do so and even has a name for its violation of these laws - the "Dahiya Doctrine". https://imeu.org/article/the-dahiya-doctrine-and-israels-use-of-disproportionate-force

This is quite apart from its violation of international law in oppressing, occupying and building illegal settlements in territories seized in aggressive war (yet another violation of IL expressed in numerous treaties including the UN Charter).

Your silence on such matters, while hypocritically referring to yourself as someone supportive of "liberty" and opposed to the "initiation of force", is deafening.

Nothing is ever 100% on these things, but I'd call the odds that it was a failed Palestinian rocket that hit the hospital something like 99%.

(clearly nonpartisan source here)

If you want an admittedly partisan source, but with lots of backup, here:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/haters-wont-be-swayed-but-ham ...[text shortened]... s still keeping the wool over its eyes to intentionally stoke Israel (and by extention, Jew) hatred.
How did you come up with those odds?
After lying about beheaded babies you think the odds of them lying again is merely 1%?????

Since when are the odds of an errant missile from Israel 1%? You have not even given a compelling reason why it should be less than 50%. Are the Palestinians launching more missiles than Israel? That is the only way the odds of the Palestinians being responsible could be greater than 50%

A couple more analyses published Friday questioning the IDF narrative:

"Forensic Architecture, a research group based at the University of London, analysed photos of the impact crater at the scene, saying that “patterns of radial fragmentation on the southwest side of the impact crater, as well as a shallow channel leading into the crater from the northeast” indicate the projectile likely came from the northeast – “the direction of the Israeli-controlled side of the Gaza perimeter”.

Chris Cobb-Smith, an investigator and explosives expert, also agreed the evidence indicated the projectile may have come from the opposite direction claimed by the Israeli military, according Forensic Architecture.

This lined up with the conclusions of a so-called “Doppler Effect analysis” by the Earshot audio investigation group, which looked at sound waves related to distance, and found that the missile likely approached from the northeast, east, or southeast, but not from the west as Israel’s military has claimed."

The hospital horror not withstanding it’s odd that’s Israel’s leaders are not being discussed in The Hague given their blatant disregard for and often intentional targeting of enemy civilians.
You cannot cut off the basic requirements for sustaining life and pretend your not targeting civilians

Why do you keep repeating Israel's lie? They already lied about beheaded babies. How stupid are you? It is like you have team loyalty knowing full well your team lies, but since it is your team you defend the liars.

I know the right wingers love to talk leftist media bias - while ignoring the fact that the most popular news sources are conservatives who admit lying.to viewers.

But this NY times investigation is quite thorough in debunking what Israel claims. The 'palestinian' rocket in the Twitter video does not explode or land anywhere near the hospital. And there was clearly a big Israeli bombing run going on at the same time.

Should be enough to cast doubt on that 99% number, sh?

What was debunked? This analysis is disputing the Twitter evidence that sh76 provided to get to the 99% confidence figure.

According to the US government, it's basically a settled issue (at least that Israel had nothing to do with it).

So, let's say you dispute the 99% figure.

True or false:

1. It's probable that Israel did not launch the explosive that caused the hospital explosion.

2. The wild accusations thrown at Israel and the diplomatic attacks were therefore wrong and unjustified.

False and true.

I think Hamas leaders were probably there at the hospital. They have a track record of tunneling under civilian areas and using humans as shields. Israel made a calculated decision to kill the terrorists. The civilians killed in this one attack are a very small percentage of civilians that Israel has killed in the past two weeks. We shouldnt judge then for these decisions, they are defending themselves, but we can decide whether we should fund these decisions.
