@J-D saidHer "own family" in this case is the same person who helped her accused rapist escape. Not normally a very credible source.
@no1marauder
Well her own family is saying she is a liar.
Her father told her to say it happened.
No real evidence other than her saying it happened.
I guess your team will remove this juror 😉
You have nothing to show "Her father told her to say it happened".
You don't know what "evidence" is.
Yes, you would be removed as a juror since you would refuse to apply the legal rules regarding what is evidence.
@no1marauder
"Acton’s biological father reported the abuse, which allegedly happened"
Page 1, your first post. 😉
@J-D saidWhere does it say he told her to fabricate the allegations? It makes sense a child would tell her father and it makes sense he would report it.

Now, Mom here might think it's OK for stepdad to rape her daughter but Dad might not.
Go figure.
@J-D saidYou're seriously out of your mind.
Daddy didn't like some other dude banging his wife so he told his daughter to make up the story about abuse.
Also, child abuse cases will have the law hunt him down no matter where he goes.
It's not a jurisdiction type of case.
The law did not persue him because their was no evidence.
Absolutely nothing supports those statements.
OMG, this dumb POS is actually going to run with it:
"Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign confirmed Tuesday that it produced a controversial attack ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mother and is spending $4 million to promote it statewide, doubling down despite condemnation from prominent Republicans and newly reported court records corroborating the criminal case involving Acton’s childhood sexual abuse.
The campaign acknowledged producing the video after it circulated online without identifying its sponsor."

@no1marauder
So Vivek Ramaswamy wants the ad to go ahead and be shown...
When can we see it?
I thought we were talking about an ad that already has been playing 🤷
“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?"
“I say the stupidest things and you clap.”
This applies to the rightwingers in this forum and elsewhere. There is no “low” for them. Remember when Renee Good got a bullet in the head for wanting to drive away and none of them cared? AvJoe, Sh76, Sleepyguy, Puzzles/JD whatever is current name is, that racist who wishes to murder Muslim children?
These people are among a substantially large group of people who would happily support a Trump dictatorship - because it wouldn’t be a democrat.
This is not an exaggeration. For the people that still muster up some kind of support for this fascist administration (disgusting smear campaigns such as what we see in the OP are par for the course for fascists) there is no low. I’m now joking, I’m not being provocative; this is very much what happened in NAZI-Germany, where it was very obvious what was happening, but people flatout refused to “switch sides”.
Obviously, in NAZI-Germany, people had far less information coming in on a daily basis and they didn’t have the history of WW2 as a lesson, which we do have. So we have to know and do better.

Cledith Arthur, who had previously been charged with incest in 1974 for allegedly raping his eldest daughter, according to court and newspaper records.
4 years before he was charged with raping Ms. Action at 12 years old, he was charged with raping his own daughter.
This isn't "hearsay", this is a history of abuse that Cledith Author believed he'd get convicted for, which is why he ran way.
@vivify
He was charged and convicted or just charged?
Your link just says charged.
If he was a known offender, the Marshalls would have went after him.
State lines don't protect child predators.
Is the eldest daughter talking now because of the ad and the mother saying that the younger step daughter lied?
Their should be a court filing and it should be public, do you have it?
It's easy for the media to say whatever they want because he's already dead and can't sue anyone.
@no1marauder saidThere’s no depth too low for republicans.
This article is unbelievable:
"A new viral video targeting Amy Acton is roiling the increasingly ugly Ohio governor’s race, where the Democrat is running against GOP nominee Vivek Ramaswamy.
The clip features Acton’s estranged mother, Donna Arthur, calling the Democrat “a liar” and urging Ohioans to vote against her. It’s unclear who is behind the 60-second spot, wh ...[text shortened]... eans,” and far-right activist Laura Loomer, who wrote that she’s “on the side of Amy’s mother.[/b]”"

"COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Vice President JD Vance said during a campaign visit to Ohio on Wednesday that he is “disgusted” by the Republican pushback against an ad by Vivek Ramaswamy that features the estranged mother of his Democratic opponent in the governor’s race, Dr. Amy Acton, and raises questions about her traumatic childhood."
"“I’m a little bit disgusted when I see Republicans across the country who are whining more about that advertisement than they are about what the congressional Democrats and other Democrats want to do to the United States of America,” Vance said in his first public comments on the ad, "

Although it's probably just recognizing what a political disaster this is likely to be and trying to get as far away as possible from it (though taking a stage with Ramaswamy doesn't seem too smart), Ohio Republican Senator John Husted said "“I would not have run that ad,”. We'll see what effect it has on both the Governor 's and US Senate races in Ohio.
At least an Op-ed in the conservative National Review gets it right:
"In his column, Blehar wrote, “It was a staggering act of bad taste, a move made for absolutely no gain whatsoever — are voters supposed to hold Acton’s sexual molestation by a family member against her? — and Ramaswamy only made things worse by doubling down on it yesterday.”
On Tuesday, Ramaswamy said, according to Fox19, “It is an ad from our campaign. I would love for this race and this election to be about the substantive issues that impact Ohioans. Unfortunately, Amy Acton has been hiding from those issues. She won’t debate me.”
Blehar wrote, “His oleaginous response that ‘this is justified because she won’t debate me’ is only going to disgust voters further. And the simple fact that this ad even exists tells you everything you need to know about how dire the governor’s race in Ohio is for Vivek Ramaswamy.”
“Candidates on the path to victory don’t take desperate swings like this. Only candidates certain that they’re going down in flames and have nothing left to lose reach that deep down into the gutter,” he continued."
At MSN "Conservative op-ed sees doom for 'unlikable weasel' Ramaswamy: 'Going down in flames" (got a WORD TOO LONG to the link).
EDIT: You'd never see a MAGA using the word "oleaginous".
