This article is unbelievable:
"A new viral video targeting Amy Acton is roiling the increasingly ugly Ohio governor’s race, where the Democrat is running against GOP nominee Vivek Ramaswamy.
The clip features Acton’s estranged mother, Donna Arthur, calling the Democrat “a liar” and urging Ohioans to vote against her. It’s unclear who is behind the 60-second spot, which did not appear to have aired on television as of Tuesday afternoon.
The video is contentious because of the background between Acton and her mother, whom Acton said she has not seen since she was 12 years old.
Acton, a physician and former director of the Ohio Department of Health, described in a 2019 interview with The Vindicator an unstable childhood troubled by abuse, neglect and homelessness. She recounted abuse at the hands of her stepfather, which culminated in criminal charges and led to Acton’s break with her mother.
An Associated Press review of court records indicates the late Cledith Arthur, the husband of Donna Arthur, was arrested and charged in July 1978 with raping Acton, then aged 12. Acton’s biological father reported the abuse, which allegedly happened from 1976 to 1978, to authorities. Cledith Arthur pleaded not guilty and was indicted by a grand jury in September 1978 and, after no-showing a court hearing, was a fugitive until at least 1981.
Acton’s brother Philip Stearns slammed the Republican for “a despicable low.”
He said it was an “attempt to turn the sexual abuse Amy endured at twelve years old from our birth mother’s husband into a political talking point” and noted he and his sister were removed from the custody of Donna Arthur.
Stearns also said their mother remained married to Cledith Arthur until he died in 2004, despite the allegations against him."

You would think any decent human being would condemn such an ad and you'd be right but that's not how MAGA rolls:
"Among those circulating the video were Donald Trump Jr., who told Ohioans in a post on the social platform X to “watch this and think about what it means,” and far-right activist Laura Loomer, who wrote that she’s “on the side of Amy’s mother.”"
@no1marauder
You're blaming right wingers because someone's mom knows her daughter is scum and people shouldn't vote for her?
You are the one being Low 🤔
@J-D saidA right winger is running an ad from her mother saying she's a liar for testifying her stepfather raped her as a child.

And you don't see anything wrong with that?
@no1marauder
So the woman did lie back then?
If yes, she lied, then yes it's okay to run the ad.
If she didn't lie, then no it's not okay and I'm surprised Vivek Ramaswamy would stoop that low.
@J-D saidWTF is wrong with you?
@no1marauder
So the woman did lie back then?
You're supporting enablers of child rape now just because it might help a right wing scumbag get elected?
@J-D said"Acton hasn’t had contact with her mother since leaving the courthouse once her stepfather was charged with raping her, the candidate said.

Mahoning County Court records we obtained show that Cledith Arthur was arrested and charged with sexually abusing Acton, then 12 years old. The abuse went from ages 10-12, she said."
"After pleading not guilty, he posted bond and fled, becoming a fugitive of the state until his death in 2004. Police tried to find him for numerous years, documents state. He and Acton’s mother moved to Pennsylvania, according to public records."

@no1marauder
People lie, even kids.
Would you like me to post cases where the kid lied and the accused were completely innocent?
Their are whole TV shows and crime series showing cases like that. It happens a lot.
I asked if she lied or not and you immediately jump to "you support child rape!"
You Dems are pathetic.
@no1marauder
One out of every 20 cases is a lie by the children.
Ai...
Intentional false allegations of child abuse by children are rare, estimated at roughly 4% to 6% of cases, though false reports can also stem from suggestive questioning, family conflict, or custody disputes.
Prominent sample cases and documented scenarios illustrate how children's false or fabricated abuse claims have unfolded:
1. The Western Canadian Foster Home Case (Klassen / Richard Classen Case)
• What Happened: In 1991, foster children in a Western Canadian family claimed they were forced to take part in satanic rituals, orgies, torture, and killing or barbecuing babies, implicating 16 people (including 12 relatives).
• The Outcome: The charges were eventually dropped by the Crown to protect the children from further stress. Years later, the grown foster children testified that they had completely fabricated the stories, and the accused relatives filed civil lawsuits against the justice and police authorities over tunnel vision and forced confessions.
2. Galileo Elementary School Case (Suggestive Therapy & Dolls)
• What Happened: An investigation involved 20 children alleging sexual abuse by two teachers, driven by bizarre details, parental meetings, suggestive school letters, and the use of anatomically detailed dolls during interviews.
• The Outcome: Highlighted in legal and psychological literature (such as research on false memory paradigms) as a classic case where young children's high vulnerability to suggestive, leading questioning and peer/adult pressure led to false contamination of memory.
3. Custody and Divorce Litigation Fabrication
• What Happened: In family law settings, children are sometimes coached or manipulated by one parent during high-conflict divorces or custody battles to allege physical or sexual abuse against the other parent.
• The Outcome: Forensic and investigative reviews (such as those discussed in Psychiatric Times) show these children often display a calm or detached demeanor during questioning, repeat rehearsed scripts, and eventually retract the claims once the custody dispute resolves or independent multi-source investigations uncover parental pressure.
@J-D saidGee are there a a whole lot of cases where "completely innocent" accused child rapists jump bail and flee the State?

In these TV shows, do the mothers of alleged child rape victims run off with the accused rapists and then 40 years later say what a liar their own daughter is?
Does that sound like someone a candidate for political office should be happy to use in campaign ads?
@no1marauder
"Acton’s biological father reported the abuse, which allegedly happened from 1976 to 1978"
That would fall under coaching the kid to say it happened because he hated his ex wife's new boyfriend.
It's been 23 years since the accused died and the mother is still saying the man was innocent.
I think you're siding with a liar. 😐
@J-D saidUnbelievable.

@no1marauder saidPeople like you will convict someone without evidence.

You're the lawyer, please provide evidence other than hearsay?
I'll wait.

You have a problem with kids lying? You think they are incapable of lying?
@J-D saidWell, he wasn't convicted because he fled and remained a fugitive until he died. And Acton's mother helped him do so.
People like you will convict someone without evidence.

That's the people you are now vouching for.
According to the articles, young Acton testified in front of the Grand Jury that indicted Arthur. That's not "hearsay".
@J-D saidSo that says 95% of such allegations are not "false".

Add in the flight to avoid prosecution and what percentage would that make it? Yet you're going to take the word of a woman who helped the accused rapist of her own kid escape justice?
